Hail comrades,
is it bad gameplay to let the reds reset their cap so you can then go and kill all the reds? And I only mean in situations where there is no doubt the greens will win by doing it.
I fucking hate early cappers and getting robbed of a good x2 because the little fucks want to rush the base when we are ahead. If it's the only viable option fair enough, cap the shit out of the base. But when we're ahead, fuck off with that shit.

Half the time in that scenario their hurting their team more by not being present to push the numerical advantage.

I haven't capped in weeks but I've capped three times tonight...all instances of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat! Funny how it goes in cycles for me. I haven't been near an enemy cap in quite some time for the most part.

I've actually held off on a shot on the Reds before so they could reset the cap, we were winning 12-4 and the remaining Reds were located and on low (ish) health, as usual a bellend who'd done nothing all game was capping and was at 86% or something so I let a red shoot him and then I killed the red.
I like to think I gave the red a defender medal before I assassinated him.

I can't stand those who cap, when destroying all the reds is a certainty. We see it often when there is only one Arty left and we have eight or nine on our own team.

If it's a sure win i rather see the green cappers take some damage as a lesson. Maybe it will teach them how to fight instead of only waiting for the team to clear a path to the flag for them.

It's only bad if you end up losing because of it, but generally I don't see the point of letting a red player salvage a bad loss with a heroic medal like defender. The secondary point of winning is to put a stink on the opponents, and letting them farm damage or earn medals kind of washes that stink right off.
By that same token though, letting them live is also washing off some stink. It's a totally acceptable compromise that you describe, I think. So long as you don't lose as a result of such a choice.

Just missed a Radley's by one shot today because of this bullshit. It would have been my first ever. I was in the T28 HTC and I just needed one more shot. The game ended maybe two seconds from a reload. I didn't take any damage the whole game either. I'll take a devastator but man was I pissed.

If it is a guaranteed win and people are trying to cap I'd let it happen. I will sometimes start to cap for some extra points then drive off cap in some scenarios but just straight capping when there is plenty left to do in the battle is shitlord status.

If I'm not going to get to that last tank then I'm not ashamed to take some cap points. It helps my efficiency out anyway. Generally my team will finish off the last tank before I cap it out anyway.

I pushed a green bert off the cap in my T29 the other week,we were up by 7 tanks and reds where surrounded on other side of map - guy sent me a load of msgs; turns out he'd parked up and went to the loo and came back just as i pinned him against a rock (sandriver)
Next match on steppes, he was in bert again and my amx chaffee sent him to the garage and i got more love letters....
I can understand that sometimes match making shits on you and you get desperate for the x2.... othertimes the randoms are just cock monglers

absolutely fine in most circumstances, especially when the greenie is early capping.
My only borderline personal capping decision is, like yesterday, we have won and have around 8 heavies left and the only remaining red is a light tank, of which we have none and don't know where he was last sighted (thanks for this WG /sarc).
I refuse to go chase the lone light in my heavy with nine minutes remaining (yes, we crushed them in a fast and furious firefight). I will, of course, roll off once or twice if a faster tank is aggressively, and logically, looking for him. But I hate wasting time looking for a scared, hiding little light in a heavy knowing the next match is waiting for me...
