Hope it's good. I'm in the Sea of Thieves alpha and seeing the game develop is good but it's the kind of game that requires a group of friends who play often to make the most of it. I'd more of a solo player, so still play black flag for Pirate gameplay.

SOT alpha tester here too. The game has come on leaps and bounds since the first technical test. I agree you need a group of friends as it can be 'rough' with randoms. Good game but not much longtivity in it. I play for an hour or so and then want to change it up abit.
Skull and Bones will NOT kill SOT mainly because there is no land based combat, its like someone said lets take the sailing/combat element out of Black Flag and make a standalone game out of it. Will keep my eyes on its development.
Now....ANTHEM on the other hand, that looks good. Not wanting to hype my expectations up too much as it is still a long way off.

A long way and there's the failure that was Andromeda to bear in mind, shiny graphics and a jetpack isn't enough to tempt me after that mess. I'll be waiting until a good while after release to pick up Anthem, to check reviews.

When I think AOS naval battle, this is what I think of( and participated in a few, truly epic to be a part of)
I think NA ruined other AOS games for me simply due to the combat. They are doing a closed beta this summer for Naval Action legends, which will be arena combat only. Looking forward to it but worried about the changes that will need to be made. I doubt it could be viable with hour long fights( still they are fun)
