Was looking at the tanks on the PC and came across the Oblect 252U. I like the idea of an IS-6 with a pike nose and slanted turret. Wonder How many people would cry about it? Granted it does have 150mm front turret thickness with the sides being 150mm and the rear being 100mm. The Hull is 130 / 100 / 90 mm. It's track traverse is slightly faster then the IS-6 by 6 degrees. I assume that it was a reward tank as it doesn't have a gold price. What do you guys think?

Comparing the 252U to the IS-6 is really kind of silly, because one is a PMM tenk that's been a victim of power creep, with a potato gun, and ~200mm of effective frontal armor everywhere except the two frontal weak spots, the tiny 150mm hatches that you'll never hit, and an overmatchable roof that most people don't even know about. While the other is a regular MM tenk, with the best gun in class/tier, with anywhere from ~310-450mm of effective frontal armor everywhere except the two frontal 'weak spots', the ~220mm effective lower plate which can safely be angled up to ~250mm effective, and the tiny 150mm hatches that you'll never hit. A much better comparison is the newly released king of the premium tier 8 heavies the IS-5 (That could be yours for the low, low price of only $63!) which is entirely outclassed by the 252U, having MUCH worse armor, 50 less alpha, worse gun depression, worse gun handling, worse premium rounds, and all you get in return is 100 lousy dpm and a bit of speed that ultimately isn't enough to make a difference. How many people will cry about it if it's released? Anyone with a brain, the tenk is one of the most blatantly pay-to-win tenks in the game... Oh and one other thing, PA1N has already confirmed the 252U for release later this year... Get your wallet ready. |

Yeah, only compaired it to the IS-6 because I have that and have only played the IS-6 and KV-1 for Russian heavies. I have not been able to keep up on the other forum or really anything with the console version as i am on deployment and the console game websites won't load on the ship's network. I keep getting a timeout error. But, I can get the the PC version's website. By the time I get back the IS-5 won't be for sale. BUT, thanks for the enlightenment on the matter. By the way, anything else of "importance" I have missed with the updates? Is the Bulldog Tier VIII now? Have they said anything about the T92 Light tank or is that just going to be for the PC until we console players get it about a year after PC? Thanks Lumberjack. |

Cyrex....no changes to the LTs like the PC has gotten. Also no changes to arty if you're referencing update 9.18 on PC. They recently buffed the STA-2 speed (no good reason to do so) and buffed the engine hp on the Lowe but not the armor. I think you were still here when they added physics such as tanks flipping and stuff.

Cyrex....no changes to the LTs like the PC has gotten. Also no changes to arty if you're referencing update 9.18 on PC. They recently buffed the STA-2 speed (no good reason to do so) and buffed the engine hp on the Lowe but not the armor. I think you were still here when they added physics such as tanks flipping and stuff. Okay, then the T92 Light Tank is just going to the PC then right now. I heard about the buff to the engine on the Lowe. Might get one when I get back if something else I would rather get is not on sale that is. Think the Physics update was literally the Update right after I left. I miss the game. Going to have to get used to the Bulldog again with the physics as I had hit a few spots that should have flipped me be for the update. Now I'm going to be like a turtle on its back for a few games when I get back in it. |
