So looking at my stats(well lack there of) in my T30 (W/R63.93% survival 29.51% Ave. damage 1,147 hit% 67.03% Efficiency 674.41 WN8 948.19) granted this is only 61 games and just started using the thing. My T54E1 (W/R64.52% Survival 25.81% Ave. Damage 1,060 Hit 71.28% Efficiency 968.65 Wn8 950.59) in 31 matches. Now stats aren't really a big deal to me BUT being more of a contribution to my team IS. Who has some advise for these tanks? My biggest thing is I have decent hit% in these I feel is decent. Think my biggest problem is where I am hitting the other tanks. I think when it comes to it I'm just on the wrong end of RNGsus. As I know to go for the lower plates, the sides of certain tank turrets and all. I could just be over critical of my short stint with these tanks. Granted I do think I need to work on my map situational awareness as my survival rate is well.......shit. Load out wise I think I am good for the T30. But can't remember what I have on it right now as it has been just north of four months since I last played. Any words of advise is greatly appreciated.

Cyrex...I hope your cruise is going well and you're enjoying that bug juice .
I'm hoping that Evil Lumberjack or R35T will chime in since I think they perform(ed) well with the T30. It appears to me that you might be playing a bit too out front given your damage and the alpha of the tank (assuming you're fully upgraded). It has a strong turret, but it can be penned by the big guns. The hull is butter. It's possible you could play it more in a support role a little further back, or if you want to play it up front use a bunch of heavies as meat shields for your reloads and to shoot occupied tanks.
I know the APCR on the 155mm is pretty damn good at 320mm so I wouldn't be afraid to use it to smash some faces.
I can't speak about the T54E1 since I don't have it.

I have not played the T30, but am thinking about skipping the T28 proto to get there (it's why I quit grinding that line...I really hate super slow drivel).
However, I did fairly well, relatively speaking, with the T54E1. Follow a couple of strong heavies or a pack of mediums. Wait for targets to be exposed and distracted. Peek out, unload, run and reload. Do not, do NOT, go anywhere alone unless it's late game and/or you are nearly certain that you can clip and destroy a target and get out with minimal exposure.
I've thought about buying it back one of these days. It wasn't a favorite, but I had a good win rate in it (64.18%) and decent stats. Not Unicum, mind you, but good.

I can't speak about the T54E1 since I don't have it. If my memory serves me correctly. I am nowhere near the 155mm yet. I was using the 120mm. Will have to remember to stay back alittle further then I was. Thought I was far enough back but guess not. I know the T30 Livens up once it has the 155mm on it. Think I'll start staying more about 300-450m range from the action when I get back. The Cruise is going. The bug juice machine is KIA right now so it has been Ice water or UHT "milk". So I have been drinking ice water alot. Got screwed out of our last port visit because of another ship and the country saying they would not provide us with services while we were anchored out. And we couldn't be pier side because if a Cruise Liner came in we would have to move from the pier.

Yeah, the T28 Proto, I almost quit the grind because of that damn thing. Big change from the M18 and even the T25/2. If anything skip to the final package as that is the base gun of the T30 and play a few rounds to get used to the reload. It is hilarious when you are still running the 120mm on the T30 and people think you have the 155mm and rush you after you fire. I've had a few do that and then go full reverse when I hit them with that second round faster then they thought I would have. The T54E1 is my learning curve tank as it is the first one I have that is strictly an Auto-loader(since I went the Light tank route to it instead of the T71 route). I have to get used to that aspect of the tank. Need to learn to take it easy and calculated as to where I go and who I engage with this tank.
