It's a non issue and with it comes with more problems than it solves as the yamato then needs a buff as the only teir 10 bb that can be citadeled close range when giving a broadside.

Waiiiiiiiiiit a minute. You- you're asking for a buff? FOR THE YAMATO? The reason the Yamato will not need a buff is because it can overmatched. It can overmatched the bows of all the other T10 Battleships. So it trades.... citadelability... for overmatched capability. Have you ever driven an Iowa and eaten 20K damage while bow on? It sucks... This solves many more problems than it creates. The only problem it creates is that any battleship that looks at it won't be able to delete it in two salvos if it turns broadside. Iowa is literally the only battleship class in the game that I've seen take more than 2-3 citadels in a good salvo. I've hit Iowas for 5-6 citadels in one salvo before... that's 80-90% of their health gone in one shot. Not fun. |

That same salvo will still citadel you with the next patch as the angle it hits will still allow it to pen the citadel and if you angle right you can bounce his salvo the same way the hood can take a full load from an amaig and take no damage.

You have never got a yamato broadside at close range have you? With my front guns on the fedrick I got 3citadles just firing them once.

Exactly. 3 citadels. 3. That's a good number (don't forget that the Iowa/Monty will still be citadeled easily, just not as frequently). What is ridiculous is when a Montana does the same thing and eats 5 citadels. And a Yamato can get cits through the bow.
Forget Yamato, have you ever shot a broadside Iowa/Montana? They melt... like friggin tissue paper. Seriously, what other battleship do you see eating five citadels out of one salvo? Exactly. Now it'll be like the NC/Bama, still eats citadels, just not as frequently or as many. Remember that the high tier meta is bow on reversing, so not many Iowa/Monty's will take advantage of that. They are still not gonna be brawler Battleships. The reason (IMO) the lower citadel is a huge help is because now if your team decides to run away in terror, you can turn around and run away too without getting deleted. You'll still take a lot of damage, as you should, but you're not gonna get splatted like a cruiser.
If you want to see the Iowa eating large amounts of cits, there's a thread on the forums called Post Your Max Damage in One Salvo, or something along those lines. And literally over half of the posts are Iowas eating large amounts of citadels.

I fired 4 guns for 3 citadles if I fired 6 guns I would have got more

Yamato isn't supposed to brawl, though. It already outperforms all the other tier 10 BBs across all the servers by 2% average win rate and 10-15k average damage. If the Yamato got buffed, it would be laughably op.
