Ok, this is a fun ship! She handles like a dream and the accuracy is truly awesome. The torps are fun and make a great finisher for BBs. The turrets could use a little more speed for close-in dogfights, but are perfect if you stay a few klicks out. I tossed on a speed flag and kept-up with the team DDs and we set-up an ambush on the OpFor's DDs. They didn't expect a CL in the cap that fast and we slaughtered them.
I was also happily surprised at the bounces I got with her armor. The only things she really needs (imho) is a touch more DPM and/or better fire chance from her HE. Anything else would make her OP, which I wouldn't mind (E-25 is my favorite tank you know), but then she would definitely be P2W.
I own most of the premiums offered, and I can already tell that this leggy beauty is gonna be one of my favorites.

I might have to pick it up, I too own most of the prems and one of my favs is the T6 Molotov Cruiser, I seem to do well in it and enjoy playing it. I am also loving my Tirpitz at the moment but my overall fav is the Atago, that thing can pretty much go toe to toe with even lower tier BB's and win. Getting back to the Duca, are you finding you are getting many overpens on lower tier cruisers due to the velocity of the AP shells? |

For my second tier 4 skill I'm thinking either RPF or IFHE. |

Really looking forward to picking this up the next time it is offered, looks to be a fun ship, although after the budyonny I am afraid most other tier 6 cruisers are just going to feel like a tad bit of a let down. Just wish the rest of the Russian line moved like the Kutuzov, or that Duca.

I've been on the fence about the Duca. This thread has me convinced I probably need to get it.
Right I have the following prems:
Kutuzov - Best ship in game.
Tirpitz - Bought it 50% off after I heard about the 0.6.4 secondary buff. Good/fun ship, but accuracy (like all BBs) makes me want to pull my hair out.
Atago - Good ship. Was "better" than Kutuzov until IFHE, but still good. Slower reload than I prefer.
Atlanta - Fire spitting hilarious dakka machine. Heavily punishes poor play, but so much fun.
Okhotnik - Stupid ship, but really fun. Got 4 citadels with AP in a single volley against a Furutaka - that was great. Short range torps, but lots of them.
Texas - Not bad, but not great. Probably why it was free.
Various low tier free prems. I dunno...hardly play them.
The ones I still want are the Scharnhorst, Belfast, Imperator Nikolai, and Kamikaze/Kamikaze R.

Scharnhorst is bordering OP if top tier and even if bottom tier just play her as a giant cruiser. Belfast is a very strong ship in the right hands, but if you aren't careful you will get a paddling. Kamikaze is a nice little T5 prem destoryer, ive had some good games in her I have also had some awful games in her. I Like my Atago and cannot comment on the Kutuzov as I do not own it but I have been sent back to the dock enough times by them. The Molotov is a nice T6 cruiser with very punchy 180mm guns with high shell velocity. ,Leningrad is also quite fun to play. Still not convinced about the Anshan and the Indianapolis is a floating Citadel. |
