I have just purchased the M103 and now busy grinding silver to buy equipment. Just wondering what others use on this tank, and more importantly what order should I purchase them in. I feel rammer is definitely a first to be fitted.

Standard heavy load out: rammer, optics, vertical stabilizer. If you have to piece meal it, I guess I'd go rammer and then vertical stabilizer.

I always fill the 3 equipment slots on tanks I'm playing. Don't forget you can sell binocs an camo nets on tanks you are not using (with no gold penalty) to stir up some quick silver. You may need every advantage possible to to survive tier 10 games with the stock package.

Thanks for all the advice. Will wait until I at least get the crew to 100% from running premiums until I give the tank a run. Hopeful will also be able to get some equipment fitted as well.

The only bit of advice I'll add is to fit a Wet Ammo rack if your crew hasn't been trained in Safe Stowage. Swap it for Optics as soon as it's trained. The Vert Stab and Rammer are must haves from the start.

The Vert Stab and Rammer are must haves from the start. I only have a rammer on mine yet (saving silver up for my first tier X tank)...does Wet Ammo and safe stowage really help if you get shot in the side of the turret? I thought the only way to drive this tank is "don't expose turret sides to enemy fire if you want to live"-style... I mean it would be a game change if this set-up reliably helps with the ammo rack issue...

V.Stabs/Rammer/Vents in that order. I have not used V.Stabs in any of my tanks...I always thought I'd try that one on my Bulldog when I have the spare money but hasn't happened yet... I guess if you play the M103 as a medium V.Stabs make sense...I play it more 75% classical US-heavy (hull-down, medium range combat) and 25% hybrid heavium in late-game

I guess if you play the M103 as a medium V.Stabs make sense... Yeah, um.... You're seriously gonna want to change that... like yesterday. Vert stabs are the most important piece of equipment in the game, if a tank gets VStabs, you use VStabs, there are no exceptions. I play it more 75% classical US-heavy (hull-down, medium range combat) and 25% hybrid heavium in late-game Seems strange to me to play a tank in a way that constantly exposes your biggest weak spots(Roof/Hatch/Turret in general) and simultaneously nullifies the few strengths you do have(Mobility/Gun handling/dpm) but you do you man.

I only got the M103 a few weeks ago...I do admit that at first I was horrified...the stock version is just atrocious...I did struggle a bit until I found a playstyle that works kinda sorta...as long as the enemy is in front of me and only there the torret is quite bouncy if you wriggle it..however one shot into the sides of it and there goes the ammo rack...so I can see the point in playing other than classical hull down doctrine...I might install V-Stabs when I have a spare 600k Silver and see what that does for me...
