So I am currently at the t25/2, is it worth grinding down from the proto to the T28 to get the T95? Or would it be better to just start the turretless TD line from the bottom?

Even though the T28 proto is a better tank and a bitch to kill in my opinion go with the T28. It will train you in the tactics and map postioning you need to know in order to really enjoy the T95. If you master the T28 you'll love the T95 even more.

IMO I would go with the T28 proto, at least then have the option of going for T30 and E4. Granted it won't prepare you for the play style of the T95 as well as the T28 but it is still a slow tank with stronk armour and a good gun. But like the T28 it is fucked once arty has you in its sights or a medium comes sniffing. And on city maps it will a little more effective. T95 user = skreb BTW  |

The E4 line is far better. I actually got my first Radley's medal in the T28, but the reality is, the tank only works if people wander in front of your gun. The mobility and flexibility of the T30 make it a far better TD than the T95.

Well, I recently bought the T28 and while the first gun is underwhelming, it does have stronk front armor.
Slow as a glacier but I still like it.
T28 Prototype & T95 seem just a slower version of the AT2, which I also liked, but it's nice having a turret.

Somewhat strong armour at long distances yes, but tier 9-10 mediums with APCR as cheap ammo go straight through it.
Looking closer at it, it won't bounce most tier 8 premium shells and that's where the armour is pretty thick.

The T28 Proto is fun. And it's not a bad little performer. Yes it lacks speed and mobility BUT you can increase the Mobility by training off road driving and Clutch Braking alongside BiA and having snapshot installed too. Gives whoever is charging you, even Light Tanks, a much welcomed shock. |

The Proto is stronk tenk. I had to be patient until it was upgraded, then I really enjoyed it. The T30 is pretty awesome as well. The armor is annoying, so I try to go hull-down. The gun accuracy is also a bit troll. Otherwise, fantastic tier 9 td. I haven't reached the E4 yet, so I can't say. I'd love to continue the grind to the E3 but I don't think I could do the T95. Not my style.

I'm going to start doing that when I am able to play the game again. Might make grinding go by quicker then to the 155mm and the E4.

I would also wait till after you get the final package then go for the T28. Once I get the E4 I might go back and go the T28 route from the Proto.

Sold it.
I don't need a tank that can't pay it's own way most of the time.
The T28 is too slow to even make it to the battles quite often. I finally arrive and everyone is dead!
Either there's 6 enemies shooting me dead the second I show up, or there's nobody left to shoot so I score dick.
Boring.
The last gun had me hoping, but it's nothing special.
