So I recently started down my first french line and I need a crew trainer. Should I get the fcm or wait for the amx chaffee, amx cdc or something else?

Low tier tanks generally have better XP multipliers, so the FCM 36 PaK 40 would be the best bet on the tech tree for crew training. The FCM 50t is actually fun, an earns silver at a 50% rate, so you're more likely to play it. The CDC is supposed to hit the tree at some point, so if you like a fast, paper thin medium, it's an option. I wouldn't hold my breath on the AMX Chaffee; they went over a year between sales.
