Guide to the Tier X super heavy tank, the E-100.
What is it?
How should i equip it?
There are a couple of builds that work really well. I use rammer, vert stab and vents, to boost gun control and reload. However i know people who use optics instead of vents and have success. I don't use spall liner as it doesn't help that much and it doesn't come in use every battle like the others mentioned do. Crew skill wise essentials are sixth sense, repairs, brothers in arms, and in no exact order, track mechanic, preventative maintenance, snap shot, recon, situational awareness. After those, go for whatever you want.
Ammunition wise, take a few He as they come in use for flushing out hull down targets and ruining Borsigs and the like. Regarding AP and HEAT, i take a fairly even mix, and when the battle loads have a look at the roster. If you're quite nicely top tier with only a few tier Xs in the game, load AP. if the lobby is full of tier Xs, load HEAT. Obviously load HEAT for any hard targets you find in general and don't feel guilty. People will spam HEAT at you, only fair to return the favour, although against tier 8s and 9s the AP is often fine, no point wasting money. If you find a red E-75, shoot the front of their turret with HEAT (try not to hit the gun) and teach them that the E-100 is the boss.
What are its weaknesses?
What is it?
The E-100 is the most played tier X tank however most people struggle to use it. It has alot of armour and alot of firepower but lacks mobility. Whilst they are often found guarding arty or climbing mountains at the back of the map because people are complete idiots. It's a frontline tank, meant to bully the enemy into submission and tank incoming damage from red team. It has quite a high skill ceiling in a way as it requires careful angling and good map awareness to use but it rewards good play.
It has an ammo selection consisting of AP, HEAT and HE, and for once all 3 are useful, HE included due to the calibre of the gun. Due to the armour, hp and firepower, if you use it right you can easily be the deciding factor in a game even if your team are struggling.

It has a few. The lower plate being the biggest. Most tanks the E-100 faces can pen it even when angled. Even if you do angle, a bit of armour between the tracks and the hull becomes visible and can be penned so be wary of that. There is a range finder bar running along the top of the turret which is also weak, and the roof of the hull itself is very thin. Any tanks that end up with the high ground are a serious threat to an E-100 if they know to shoot there.
The next 2 weakspots aren't really weakspots in the normal sense as they have 250mm of armour but prem spammers and TDs pen them easily. The first is the turret face itself. It's a mildly angled, 250mm piece of armour, however any gun with 275mm of pen can punch through with a bit of luck on their side. Any tier X TD and most tanks firing prem can cut through it with ease, and people nearly always fire premium at E-100s. The second " weakspot" is a bit of flat 250mm thick armour running around the base of the turret. A 183 can pen this reliably, although it is a hard shot unless close.

Plenty of armour, loads of hp, and a big fucking gun. With some good sidescraping and angling of the turret the E-100 becomes a fortress, and it has spaced armour and huge tracks running along the side as well as fairly thick side armour on the turret and hull. This makes it fairly resistant to splash damage. The 150mm gun hits for 750 average damage, which is the most any heavy tank in the game can do with a standard shell, although it may now be tied with the Japanese heavy of the tier (i don't know). Whilst the AP pen is quite low at 235mm, the E-100 gets to use 334mm pen HEAT shells, because someone at WG wanted a tier X heavy that can turn into a tier X TD by pressing A.. Balance? What's that?
How do i use it?As i said previously, your first action should be to look at the teams rosters. If you think it's odds on that the first tank you meet will be hard to pen with 235mm, load the HEAT. After that, you want to pick a route that provides plenty of hull down cover, or large cover that you can sidescrape off. In general you want to avoid large open areas and try to get to positions where you can engage enemies at close to medium range in choke points if possible to avoid being flanked.
To make the most of your armour you want to sidescrape or at least go hull down, and here is the important bit-angle your turret unless ready to fire. The general guide for angling the turret is to point the gun over one of the front corners of the hull and move back and forth a bit (to throw off shots to that view bar). With practice you will learn to adjust the angle depending on the gun aiming at you. The E-100 requires a bit of time to get used too and figure out. If you find arty, or a waffle load HE if you have time, it does alot of damage to them. Avoid getting caught up in long range engagements, and don't sit around trying to trade with hull down T-62a's etc. If you come across a 183 and you're in the open, angle your whole tank quite a bit, if you present enough of an angle, the most it will be able to do is splash you due to the E-100s thick armour and the fact that HESH doesn't do well at all against angles. You will still take maybe 600 damage but it's better than taking 1600+.
I was hoping to add videos to this but i'm just too busy atm, hopefully i can add them at a later date.
