Gonna start reading The Man in the High Castle/ By Philip K. Dick , tonight , Just finished World of Tanks Commander's Guide, Enjoy. It's a very good read. And doesn't go exactly the way you think it will. I never watched the tv show , always wanted to read the book first. Cheers.

I read loads of historical novels.
Currently reading the fifth in a series called Legionary about a Roman soldier in the latter times of the empire when it had been split between Rome and Constantinople.
His name is Pavo and he starts as a slave but then joins up and works his way up through the ranks. It fairly faithfully follows the history of the time and the wars and battles with peoples such as the Goths and the Huns and is just a cracking good read.
The current book is called Legionary: Gods and Emperors. Highly recommended.

I'm re-reading Point of Impact by Stephen Hunter. Fantastic crime/thriller/military novel.

I'm re-reading Point of Impact by Stephen Hunter. Fantastic crime/thriller/military novel. The movie adaptaion (shooter) wasn't terrible but the book is so much better.

If you haven't already, I highly recommend reading Black Light and Dirty White Boys, in that order. Point of Impact is the kick off to a sort of trilogy.

Point of Impact is the kick off to a sort of trilogy. I honestly didn't think they were quote as good at PoI. Don't get me wrong, still both very good novels, but they just didn't draw me in the way the first book did. That happens a lot to me though. I rarely find follow-on books to be as good as the first of a series.
