The High Court ruled today that Article 50 couldn't be triggered unless it was voted for by MPs. I don't think the Commons will vote for it. The PM's appealed the ruling and it's going to the Supreme Court, but I reckon they'll uphold it. So, where does that send us?

Welcome to modern society, where if you don't like the result of something, take them to court! That isn't what happened. The High Court ruled that the Prime Minister could not use the Royal Prerogative to trigger Article 50, it would have to be voted on by MPs instead before it went ahead. |

We never could just trigger A50. It was missed in all the he said she saud bullshit but at the time it was said an Act of Parliament was needed.
In other news the MoD have said the Red Arrows are getting new jets and they are going to increase the number of Typhoon squadrons by 7 by either upgrading or replacing the Tranche 1 aircraft.

There would have to be have been a vote in the Commons for the Lords to be able to oppose it in a vote, but neither has happened yet. As for invalidating the will of the people, they voted for their MPs. Besides, there's speculation that if the referendum was redone then the result would have been different to what it was. The reason this whole situation has developed is our uncodified constitution. No one really knows what to do because it isn't written down anywhere. |

The F-16 wouldnt be plausible as we'd stick the Marconi avionics and the EJ200 in it and our cousins across the pond would want it. |
