Been playing the A-43, and man, everyone was right when they said it's a Russian Easy 8. This thing would be broken if it could fit vert stabs.
But the A-44 isn't looking too enticing the closer I get to it. Armor profile in tanks.gg shows it's nothing to rely on, it has terrible gun depression and a rear mounted turret, and the final depressing bomb, it gets the 107 Zis from the T-150/KV-5.
What should I expect from the A-44? Is the Obj 416/430 worth this apparent pile of shit?

You should expect to be either ammo racked or set on fire every other match. Don't worry about aiming because you will miss anyway. And it is very fast in one direction. Don't concern yourself with turning.
And yes, all of these frustrations are worth it for the Obj 416.

It's the reason WG put Cyclone Filters in the game.
430II is my favorite tier 9. Turret has better armor over more of it than the T-54. Rear turret let's you sidescrape and reverse perkaboom and get those tracks to soak shots.

I kinda liked the A-44... but yes, the 416 is absolutely worth it.

I'm probably the only person who doesn't already have the T-62a but I'm still grinding that line because I was worried about the rear turret of the other medium line. I feel like the T-43 is also a bit underwhelming, or no? I think the T44 will be pretty good though, since it should be similar to the Type 59. A friend of mine is on the A-44 and he said it's 'ok', nothing more.
