what's the deal with this tank? How do you play it? What equipment for it?
Its a difficult tank to get used to, plays extremely different than any other tank. I have the 90mm which has a deecent (for the tank) reload, but its penetrations seems to be lacking.

It's perfect for learning how to play the two tanks after it. Forget everything about heavy tanks (except for ramming mediums and lights) while playing it, clip and hide or relocate, conserve hit points until you're really forced to trade them for damage late in the game. I liked the 50 100, the next one will suffer a lot from lack of both gun elevation and gun depression, the 50b is great though.
I go for gun handling when playing heavy auto-loaders. Vert Stabs, Vents and Gld. Optics works too but i prefer to keep the gun happy.
I don't think i used it while grinding but i use food on my heavy auto-loaders now, it really helps.
For skills it's the obvious stuff like Sixth Sense, Repairs, BiA and Camo, then the gun handling skills, better terrain resistance doesn't hurt after that.
Go for at least two expensive clips, it's usually enough for me and don't bother with HE at all.
Try to have team mates around to avoid getting rushed while reloading and find hard cover or get out of spotting range. You're just a squishy piece of free damage if you get caught in the open with or without shells.
The penetration won't be a problem with the big gun.
