So I'm fully upgraded and trying to figure out where this fits in. The gun is...less than stellar, but serviceable. The view range is a bit sub-par for tier VIII, the armor is a bit iffy, the mobility is not bad. So how do you guys play this thing? I'm running rammer, vertical stabilizer, and vents. Is that the right equipment loadout? I toyed with the idea of optics, but my crew has BiA, recon, and situational awareness, so I figured the overall boost with vents made more sense. Halp?

Mine is in mothballs at the moment due to me grinding the 416, but I used the same equipment as you and stayed with the 100mm gun. Definitley use it as a support tank and and don't rely on 1v1's with anything that's not tier 6, I mean you could do ok but don't count on it. Think I run with 15 Prem rounds just in case as the pen isn't the best, best bet is to stick with the herd and feast whilst they're being shot at.

Think of it less as a medium and more as a fat light tank... that can bully the hell out of tier VI's.  Beyond that it's pretty similar to all the other tier VIII mediums that aren't the 416 or T69(read: kinda shitty) you play hull-down or side-scrape whenever possible, and otherwise try to avoid getting hit at all costs while suffering with the bad dpm and alpha that doesn't scare anyone. I'd also swap Vents for Optics unless you've got all the camo perks and you're running food, 380m base is pretty crap. |

What other said: Don't use the 122, use optics because crap view range (and you'll need it because tier Xs), sidescrape when you can, bully lower tier mediums and bottom tier tanks.
I still have mine, but will probably dump it -- the Motherland is not as fast, but the gun seems to work better for me and it makes silver. (Plus, I need the crew for other tanks.)

Thanks folks! I'll swap the vents for optics and try some side scraping. I didn't realize that was viable with this machine.
