I'm currently slowly working my way up this line, the Borsig is the tank i'm interested to play in this line.
When i say slowly i mean maybe a few games a week, i'm on the St Emil you see... I'm around 85k from the Borsig if i use my free XP. All the free XP i earn is going into the St Emil until i get past it.
Does anyone have any idea if WG will dish out a free Tier 8 when the Grille 15 arrives? whenever that will be?
If so i'll up the pace and concentrate on the grind to the Tier 10.

As far as I know when the Waffle eventually goes it's gone. No Ifs, Buts or Maybes. No drop down to Tier 8. No Premium version. Just a straight swap if you happen to own it.

No idea when the change will happen, or if they'll give a premium when they do. The precedent is there with the FV4202 and the Awful Panther though.
The borsig is a fun tank, but don't skip out on the waffle. It's easily one of the most broken, if not the most broken, tank in the game.
I usually spam APCR out of it just because.

I wouldn't mind playing the waffle before it goes, i'm used to long reloads with the 50 100, 40t and 13 90. Its just that St Emil currently in my way, lol

Its just that St Emil currently in my way, lol The st emil is by far the worst tank in that line. The top gun at least gives you a good punch, it's just the rest of the tank blows. The borsig is op, the waffle pz iv is pretty good, and the waffle e-100 is straight broken. |

I ended up playing the St Emil for a few games last night, i had a couple of alright games, i even managed top of the team in a Tier 8 game, lol.
I earn't around 15k XP in it lastnight along with all of my free XP, so i'm on the top package now.
Hitting for almost 500 is much better, i might actually play this tank normally to get through it, low ammo count at 15 shells!

I'm at the auf IV now. I'm still going to get the WTF-100 just to be able to play at least a game or two in it before it's removed. That said, based on typical PC -> Console addition, I'd the the Grille 15 is ~9 months away...

I am grinding this line right now as well for the simple reason that they might give away a free tank. I am up to the Borsig and unlocked the baby waffle but haven't bought it yet. The borsig is so fun, I don't want to sell it (but I don't want to train another crew for it either).
I actually liked the Sturer Emil...not enough to keep of course but it wasn't as bad as advertised either.

I've found the St. Emil performs a lot better than I expected it to. Soooo much hate for it but I'm not having that bad of a time in it.
I started this line for the Borsig, which I'm close to. Idk how to proceed from there, I figure I might as well continue on to get the Waffle but don't wanna train another crew lol
The Emil's gun depression is amazing, once you learn to work it and get that final gun it's really not so bad. But the grind to the Borsig is taking forever...

I rage sold the Borsig...actually I kept it but moved the crew to the baby waffle. I watched by damage standing drop from 90% to 86% and said screw it.
Also never got that Halonens. Four times I was on the door step but couldn't seal the deal.
Now the Baby waffle. I had enough free xp to get the first upgrade. 87,000 more to the top package. This sucks. You have to play with the 15cm until the top package which is tracks only before I can use the 12.8cm.

I've just unlocked the Borsig  After i had the top gun on the St Emil, i found the grind ok as long as i'd had a few beers. I ended up with a 74% damage standing, so did alright in it. On to the Borsig, my crew is just getting back to 100% before i drive it. What equipment to people suggest? I've put Rammer, Optics and Binos on it at the moment. Which Crew skills would people suggest going forward? My crew currently has:- SS BIA Repair Camo Green Thumb (about 50%). This crew will only be used in the Borsig and the rest of this line temporarily then probably back to the Borsig, along with the E 25. I was thinking next:- Muffled Shot Silent Driving Sit Awareness Recon Then i have all the sneaky skills along with view range. |

It depends which gun you use. With the 12.8cm i went with rammer, GLDand either optics or binocs, depending on how the map and teams were on the day, although sometimes i'd swap the GLD for camo net just to be invisible. With the 15cm i'd spam HEAT and went with rammer, optics and GLD as i was playing as a brawler. The Borsig provides multiple playstyle options and plenty of good builds to choose from. Crew skills wise i think you've chosen well.

For the borsig I run the 128mm, I use a rammer, binocs, and a camo net. Don't remember my crew skills, but it's pretty stealthy.

That's the best bet. At first i thought it just had to be a sniper but then found it can do more than that due to the tiny profile and even a tiny dip in the terrain providing cover. The big gun i thought was pointless at first as it's bad for the sniping roll the Borsig seems built for but using it ( with HEAT for balance destroying reasons) means you can play as an up close ambush tank. Due to both guns being equal fun you might find yourself switching here and there, i did, and then realised how good having an in game depot would be. Maybe WG will add one, only been asking for 3 years. |

Facepalm moment.
I didn't realize the stock version of the Baby Waffle was the 12.8cm gun. My first 15 or so games were with the first upgrade (which is just a radio) but you have to use the 15cm.
I went back to stock and it is much, much better. Use that until you can unlock the final upgrade.

I just unlocked the Waffle, i don't have the silver for it just yet though, i've only got about 5 million.
Is the upgraded 15cm gun worth unlocking on the baby waffle? It's 64k XP which i'd need to earn.
I preferred the 12.8 on the Borsig and only played both 12.8's on the baby waffle.
