***TL;DR Should I angle my tank if I cant go hull down?***
I'm about 15k xp away from being able to unlock this tank and I'm just curious about something.
I've watched videos, I've looked up stats and I did a lot of research. But I'm still not clear on this.. angling.
I know the cupola is more difficult to pen now unless you hit dead center towards the bottom of the hatch. No problem, I'll wiggle my turret and shuffle my hull. Done.
I know the upper front plate isn't super thick but it's angled well enough to be bouncy. Cool.
The lower plate has the curvature built into the armor and you need to hit the lower left and right sides to pen more easily. Just like the E3.
So.. should angle my hull slightly if I can't go hull down? Would that help protect my lower front plate or would that open up the curved area more to damage? I've seen videos claiming to angle a little and I've seen a video saying that they prefer to not angle so much.
I'm sure I'll figure it out through trial and error but any tips would be great. Any tips at all about this tank are much appreciated as always. Thanks for reading.

Wiggle like Michael J. Fox off his meds and you'll get a downright stupid amount of bounces off the lower plate.

Wiggle back and forth. You try to angle and a lot of tanks will pen your sides if your tracks don't eat the shot. Frontal armor is it's strong point.

just do whatever and shoot things. get really high and spin in circles while they bounce off you and the E5's retarded cupola.

May have been a couple of months backi havent played tanks properly for about that time WG turned it into a rolling fortress, cupola is now armoured like the E3s one, so E5 tactics now consist of point the front at the enemy and wiggle a bit and bounce everything they throw at you. |
