The forums are alive with mutterings of pay to win with the soon to be released Snakebite tank. What do you all feel about it? Is it a pay to win option or just forum over-reaction? Will you buy it? Are you buying it because you like lights or buying for just the skill? Would like to hear from others! I personally will NOT be getting it since I would prefer Wg to fix the game and stop throwing shiny shit at us tk buy. Still on my boycott Wg, fix the game and you might see my money again!

I don't think it's that big of a deal. Personally I'm not buying it. I've already spent more than I should have on this game and I have more premiums than I have time to play.

it looks like it would be a good purchase for the deathstar or maybe the cgc to get more reliable shots off. but i dont really like it being only if you buy a certain bundle.

I am really torn about this tank. For starters, I am NOT a light tank player. That being said, I loved the cromwell and I absolutely love my knight. I have a bit of a crommy fetish. I think it looks really cool and to be honest I like the concept of that snakebite perk.
That being said, I am not thrilled that I have to spend real money to get a unique perk. That stinks of pay to win. may as well change the name to Clash of Tanks.
I too have spent more money than I care to admit on this game. I would love to get my hands on the t34-88 or rampanzer. I would also like to see what other Hero or other premiums they have in the coming months/years.

The tank itself isn't pay to win, so no issues there.
But having a crew skill that you have to pay actual money for, that you can't just grind out on any nation's crews like any other skill, is pay to win.

I posted this on the official forums but... Everything pens the Cromwell, pretty much. Why not ditch the armor so you can zip around faster?
As far as pay to win, this is just one more incremental thing that is seeing this game migrate to the party to win category. By itself, it isn't much. But it's just the latest in a growing line of changes towards past to win. Tier 8 premiums are silver mints, premium ammo for silver, crew & xp bonuses is with premium time are starting to add up, now straight up purchasing a good crew skill. What's next? At what point does it really add up to say this is part top win?

I just want a cromwell classified as a light tank. I know it isn't gonna be like the regular cromwell, but it will finally give the Brits a light tank that can actually compete as a scout, hopefully.
Also hopefully, WG doesn't drift too far into this gray area of pay to win. Like many others have said, this isn't a real big deal, but if more and more stuff like this begins to surface things could spiral out of hand real quick

The skill itself isn't game breaking, the way of acquiring it however, is very, very bad. Pay to win means having to pay for an advantage over an opponent. Buying a premium tank doesn't give you an advantage over another tank, buying an exclusive crew skill does.
Worst off all, WG will get away with it and do it more.

I think I like the idea of a few nation specific skills or perks. However, I do agree that they should be obtainable without spending real money.

As a matter of fact I think could wreck a Snakebite in either of those tanks. Sure it has more HP but if it's like a normal Cromwell it'll shoot like shit on the move.

I was interested, but then learned about the crappy pen. And now with the T-34-88 being teased, imma just save my gold for that. $30 to get a 5% dispersion buff on my Knight and Battle AX isn't worth it.
