I'm not one for posting when I do well in the game, as it seems I do bad more than good, but what really irritates me about the game, is when armchair generals get in the mic, AFTER they have died.
Then, when they do get on, all they do is complain about how bad the rest of the team is..
Here is the story..
Sand river, south spawn, normal match..
Usual smattering of TDs and heavies *protecting* the base, and the entire rest of the team goes to the southwest..
Noone it seems goes to the pass in the upper-right..
Was grouped with a friend of mine..
I was in a TigerII, he was in a T32..
We figured we'd be killed, but at least wanted to stop up the flow, and headed out..
We make the corner at the top of the pass, and run into 3 freedoms and a Liberte'..
So we go to work on them..
While we're working them, a green TD comes to help out, and we clean out the freedoms, and only lost my friend so far.
So I move up around to finish off the Liberte', and on of the greens gets on the mic about how everyone else in the game sucks, and especially us for going that way, since there is nothing up there worth fighting over..
Another person starts agreeing with him, and it just gets worse..
I'm trying to concentrate, as there was a chance myself and the AT could get back to reset, so I mute the clownshoe an push on..
I finish the Liberte', and as we're making our way back to base, we clean out two more that were in the hills..
I can only hear the one person's comments now, but the longer we fight, the more you could hear his stance change, but I'm sure the others did not..
Up to this point, I've already killed 5, and I thought to myself, *thats an awful lot of nothing that that guy didn't think was up there*..
But I put it down and keep at my work..
As we come up to the base, it was a KV-5, and a JPII left, with one of them on the base..
The AT goes straight for the base, and I hook low around the 9 line to try to spot out whomever was on the base..
Before I crest, the AT spots him out, and it's the JP, with over half health.
As I crest, the JP doesn't know or doesn't I'm there, and I have a perfect side-shot, so I punch him, and put him in one-shot..
While I'm reloading, be finishes our AT, and I then finish the JP...
At this point, I'm down to around 20 or so hps, and not looking forward to messing with a KV-5..
I start to move up past the base, and I spot out the 5.. he has just a splinter of health left, and is using a dead tank for cover..
I'm at range, but aim in, and bounce off his turret..
I then notice my 6th sense isn't going off, and since I only needed just a little damage, I load up an HE shell..
Aim in..
Zing.. it goes somewhere in China.
While I'm reloading, the 5 isn't advancing, he's just rocking back and forth behind the dead tank.
I reload..
Bam, straight on the mark and finish him.
I was so worked up, I actually yelled out *Yes!*..
Childish I know, but after that guys complaining, I as so happy that I've progressed enough to actually pull out a hard win, instead of biffing it like normal.
I ended with 7 kills and almost 4k damage..
By the time the match ended, the second guy was actually giving a play-by-play it seemed of what I was doing..
Might be a normal game for others, but was really happy with myself pulling that win out with that other person raging in game chat..
Made it all the sweeter..
