Hi guys, I've added a feature so that you can change the background colour/image of your mini profile. You can also change your display name colour and the colour of the other text in your mini profile.
I've not played with it enough to figure out what the best size for an image is, so it fits well but I'll let you know how to do it anyway.
Go to your profile > edit profile > personal, at the bottom will be an example of your mini profile and 3 boxes to input your chosen colours and whatnot.
For the background, if you want an image, upload your chosen image to an image hosting site and copy the link, then paste it in the background box. If you just want a colour, click the colour box and copy the hex code of your chosen colour and paste it in the colour box.
For the text colours it's the same as the way you choose a background colour. Just copy the hex code and paste it in the box.
If you have any problems just let me know and I'll do my best to help you out.
Also let me know what you think of the feature, should we keep it?
Edit: Due to a recent change to the Edit profile page on proboards side, you will have to refresh the page where the mini profile settings appears to get the options to show up properly.

I imagine looking into a thread like the Welcome one, with multiple people having different ones would be like being at a rave. However I don't see any negatives on it, will perhaps make certain people's posts stand out, and would likely need more time to see whether any actual 'problems' happen with it. Biggest problem I see so far is figuring out what kind of background image to have.  |

Seems like I've found another problem. The date and time text, for your date registered, doesn't change to your chosen colour. It might not be a problem for some, but for those (like me) who have used a dark background, it wont show up.

Didn't noticed it the first time. So like I said. The site gets the raw picture and repeats it until it fills the box to keep the picture quality. You should be able to force the site to resize picture by itself at the cost of worse picture quality. I have no idea how though. |

Got ya. Didn't noticed it the first time. You are right about the width though, I think my image was around 180 and a tiny bit of it is cut of so 170 probably would be a better fit. After messing around a bit I found that 450 was a good height for my background. For example my current picture is 515x170 pixels and it fits perfectly. Just made it in gimp 2.8 to check the sizes. |
