The Tank Database!
this is a thread designate for the sole purpose of making an easy place for tankers to find useful information, be it on the world of tanks Xbox forums, quick links to places on this forum, to useful twitch and YouTubers and to useful websites such as Tanks.gg and WoTinfo
Useful information!
okay so this will be a list of posts and discussions that have been very interesting to read, have improved peoples game play, and have been genuinely informative
1. Gigantic owls guide to the OBJ.263 russian tier 10 tank destroyer, or "stalins sandle" for a much better name as owl describes the tank in his summary "Many describe this tank as a fast JagdTiger, I would have to agree with them." "The 263 is not the typical TD, it doesnt deal the absurd damage the others will but it has many other abusable properties that will help win games. Not a beginners line, it does require skill to excel with.
" here's a link to the thread guys, it's well worth the read and it is very informative for his first guide, (be gentle guys, it's his first time)
Owls Guide to the Obj. 263
2. R35T 1N PEACE (someone likes counting) guide for grinding towards the IS-7 starting all the war from the KV-1 to eventually the IS-7 russian tier 10 heavy tank boasting an impressive 130mm naval cannon. i have to admit i wish i had seen this guide when i was grinding out the IS-7 as there would have been alot less trial and error on my behalf, i personally believe this grind is one of those ones that people should do first, it's not that hard, doesn't require a whole load of skill but isn't exactly going to make you over powered
IS-7 line tier 5 to 10 summary.
3. Ivnitrogynvi's guide on how to generally improve your game play for the better, to get more out of your games than what you already where doing, very informative to a player such as myself who is still learning how to play the game kinda
How to Improve your Gameplay (generally)
4. Matthew J35U5's index of community tanking guides index is a very good place to go to if you want to learn something about a tank as it is much like this post but focused purely on guides and which ones will be the most helpful to you
Index of Community Tanking Guides
5. this guide by Vampyrii quite possibly one of the most detailed general just starting guides in the game, don't think i have ever read one quite so useful as this. it helped me a long time ago when i was trying to stop being a tomato, and look whats happened, i'm now nearly at 1700 wn8 so i highly recommend it
Just found the forums? New to WoT? Read me.

T110E5, The Triumphant Warrior - guide by MajorFulcrum
7. If you're looking for a view on how to play arty a bit better, how to be that much more of a troll and wipe tanks of the face of the planet? RPGStylee's artillery guide might have some tips useful to you and how to play that much more annoyingly. rated 18 for artillery content
RPGStylee's artillery guide

Silent D95s BatChat 25T Oveview
useful website for us tankers!
1.quite possibly one of my most used websites for checking what my stat level has been for the last week, last month and my overall stat level has to be WoTinfo.net, purely for its accessibility and ease of use. it also has a "noob corner" in which you can learn the characteristics of perks, equipment, how tanks work and how camo values for your tanks work
Calculate advanced player stats: WN7, WN8, efficiency
how to check the top players by efficiency and WN8 overall and in the last 3 hours
"noob corner" full of useful information you might like to know at some point
2. number 2 would have to be tanks.GG i would say, because it is jam pact full of information on how a tanks armor works, how thick your effective armor is then you angle it, it gives you an effective idea on how much of an angle you should put on a tank for example while i am hull down and using my IS-7s gun depression to its full my gun mantle is effective to nearly 1000mm of armor, pretty sweet huh, it also gives you links to useful YouTube content, admittedly the website does tailor to PC instead of console but most of it isn't that wrong
tanks.gg
