Equipment is an important part of wot, and it can transform your tank from a clumsy brick to a killing machine. Picking poor equipment choices also encourages a bad playstyle, an E-100 with binocs and camo is more likely to camp and snipe for example. If you aren't sure which equipment to pick to best compliment your tank, or just want a bit of confirmation that you have a good build, post here and myself and others will help

I've just bought the E5 and am training a crew for it right now. I have 4 perks/skills. What equipment and skills should I run? Thanks in advance.

Equipment wise, i'd go with either rammer, vert stab and vents, or swap vents for optics, depending on if you want better view range, or slightly better stats across the board.
For skills, sixth sense, repairs, Bia and then upto you really.

That's about the best setup for that tank. Also look in the tank discussion section. Fulcrum put a little review on the E5. It has some info that can help you

Working on American Scouts. Right now I have the M24 Chaffee almost to the T37.
What should my standard equipment be? I don't suicide run often and like to get close and spot while hidden. Currently have Coated Optics, Binocular Telescope and Medium Gun Rammer. I also run Camo.
Suggestions or is this good?

Any suggestions for the Centurion I? I'm fully upgraded and running rammer, vertical stabilizer, and vents. Would optics make more sense?

Its too big to be a good passive scout so binocs and net aren't a good choice. I'm not a light tank guy so I might not be the best to answer

Due to the slow reload vents can come in use, and the slow speed often means other mediums and light have things lit up before you get there anyway. Both are a good choice, it comes down to personal preference.

So the T30. What is the best equipment for it? I have a rammer, but that's it. Considering I don't know how I like to play the thing, I'm not sure what would be optimal for the other two slots.

It's a hull down support TD, don't front line, but i wouldn't snipe either due to the gun being a bit troll. I'd use gun rammer, GLD and probably optics.

I went rammer vents and optics...I think. Sounds like somethin I would do. Optics might have been switched with binocs or vert stab. It wasn't the best sniper and was pretty good at hill fighting and peek a booming. Binocs can be useful since it has a turret but you don't want to be sitting in 1 place too long with it. I played like a second line heavy.

Running my T30 with rammer, vents and gld. It works fine for me, but optics is a good choice too. Mainly playing like a second line heavy.
I have a pretty good crew in it so i don't really feel like i'm getting too outspotted, scouting is not the T30s job anyway and i rather help that sometimes derpy gun.

I find it interesting that the average tanker will use vents, coated optics, and a gun rammer no matter what tank they're using. I find this to be one of the egregious mistakes made in the game.
In fact, between equipment, consumables, and perks/skills, the most people load up on offense. I've always found offense easy enough to generate. As such, I've always attempted to use the aforementioned tools to help keep me in the batter longer.
Large repair kit, tool box, repairs & track mechanic Automatic fire extinguisher, increased engine resistance/CO2 gas, fire fighting/preventative maintenance Large first aid kit, enhanced torsion bars (TD's)/wet ammo rack/medium spall liner, pain tolerance/jack of all trades
Other perks/skills: camouflage, paratrooper training, muffled shot, green thumb, silent driving, safe stowage, armorer, controlled impact
I've gotten to the point where I'm proficient at dishing out damage, so I tend to load out my tanks with stuff that'll keep me in the fight and dishing out damage...for greater periods of time. I know a lot of people like to use binos or coated optics...but I have a tendency to use the view related perks more often than not for that. It's generally enough. I simply find more utility in equipment that helps mitigate the damage done to my tank.

IS-8? It's russian so aiming time is bad but so is the RoF, should i go Rammer, Vents and Stablizers OR Rammer, Stabs and GLD? Also would think vents will help with the View range.

All my american scouts (with the exception of the T49) run the following equipment when possible. Coated optics, Rammer (vents on autoloaders), and vertical stabilizer. I am fairly aggressive when I scout and bush camping doesn't work really well for me. Now on my T49 I use vents, Rammer, and vert stab. I also run cola on this tank for every match. I have a highly trained crew and have found that vents, cola, and bia combined with all of the spotting and camo perks allow me to still be a very effective scout. I am a fairly effective light tanker. I currently have two MoE on the Bulldog, AMX Chaffee, and the T49. I'm not spectacular by any means but I have half an idea of what I'm talking about.

IS-8? It's russian so aiming time is bad but so is the RoF, should i go Rammer, Vents and Stablizers OR Rammer, Stabs and GLD? Also would think vents will help with the View range. Of those choices I would run vents, rammer and stabilizers. But I personally ran optics, rammer and stabilizers. I don't think the aim time is bad enough to warrant a gld with the stabs, At least in my experience. And Its more a medium than a heavy so anything to help perform better as one will help greatly. Hence why I ran optics to help spot, but vents would work too if that's what you want to go with.

Coming from somebody who's used it i will probably use what you used i actually used Optics on the IS-3, Cheers
