Just watched QB's new video on PC's 1.20.1 Update/Common Test ... and boy, does it look SPICY. Most interesting are the quite frankly ridiculous Crew 2.1 reworks and the incredibly greedy WoT "Plus" Subscription for ~$8.70 a month (or 8 Euros).
Crew 2.1 has the potential to absolutely devastate PC's playerbase, widening the ever-growing chasm between the game's veteran players and those who are just beginning to play the game (to add insult to injury, WG is only giving players 12 crew "retrains" when, in reality, most experienced players probably have hundreds of crews they need to retrain). And the WoT Plus is pretty much a cash-grab, with players getting monthly gold rewards, Crew XP rewards every FIVE MINUTES (something like 40 Crew XP every five minutes), and access to a new rental tank.
As if WoT PC wasn't completely P2W already ... it's gotten even worse. Newer players, unless they shell out probably hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of dollars, are going to be at a practically perpetual disadvantage compared to the wallet warriors.
It may not look like much now, but I think these two aspects of PC's update have the potential to be absolutely ruinous down the road.
I always lauded PC's developers for being light years better than Console's over the last 5 years (and I also considered PC an overall better game) but now that may no longer be the case. All three World of Tanks titles ... Console, Blitz, and now PC ... have become virtually unrecognizable.
Could 1.20.1 render WoT PC unsalvageable as 6.0 did with Console?

Most likely. The f2p model is just reaching it's end all over the place. If they're making such changes they foresee a shrinking player base if it's not already happening. Shame really.
