Welcome to the pandemic that is our youth now. Too lazy to work for anything, and yet they want EVERYTHING for nothing. However, when that fails they get all depressed because they don't know how to deal with failure because it is against the law to fail them now for doing nothing in school. Ok rant done. On the dealing with failure part, I was just posting something similar in the shoutbox. Left work early to go see my nephew play t-ball. No score was kept, everyone got a "participation" ribbon. Bullshit. I kept score, my nephew's team won & I made damn sure he knows he won. And this no fail horseshit nowadays. Great, let's graduate a bunch of entitled pussies & idiots & then let Bernie send 'em to college for free. Fantastic, college educated morons, who when they can't get(or keep) a job will expect the blue-collar masses to support them. So now it's football season. We have no kids but have always gone to see our nieces & nephews play sports & band, church, whatnot. Anyway so were at the football game a couple weeks ago & I notice that there seems to be a lot more cheerleaders than years past. 14 this year when they usually only had maybe 8, it's a small rural school. So my sister-in-law proceeds to tell me how there are no try outs for cheerleading, cheer squads, dance, who knows what else anymore. Starting this year anyone who wants to try out will make it. I know it's just cheerleading, but it's the trend of stigmatizing those with talent or those who are better at something & rewarding those with none or no ambition to develop it that bothers me. The whole concept of were all the same, equal, & entitled to the same things. No, we are not. |

It's not our "youth" that is the problem. It's the parents. How can you blame anything on children? They are born to this world without having a clue. It's the idiot parents who are doing this. As a parent, I guaran-goddamn-tee my kids are not growing up this way. |

That said the youth or "kids" were still the way I described in the post. So yes, I blame the kids in these instances |
