So I skipped the hard work (becuase I work hard enough already) and bought the Motherland tank. I like how it looks, its got a lower profile than the T-54 and I think if it had a round turret it would be a hull down monster. It may be modeled after a T54 but playing it as a Obj 416 support scavenger playstyle seems to work better. I'm sure somebody on here will have better advice on how to play it. The consumables I'm using are small repair kit, small first aid, and lend lease oil. My ammo loadout is 15 Ap 15 premium rounds and 4 HE for those mercy kills. I've yet to have a good game in this, but so far it does make good silver even when I suck so WG didn't screw anyone there. Other than the camo it does seem to come with some special emblems that look like "MOM" tattoos with the nationality of your choice in the heart. Also has a wreath and coat of arms and some others. Maybe they added this for mothers day too, I don't know becuase I haven't been on alot lately. I've only played 7 games in it so don't take this reveiw too seriously. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and I'm sure those who earned theirs will be pleased too as long as they don't have high expectations.

So I have played 107 battles in this tank, and I'm still happy with my purchase. The crew training package has really paid off so far, my crew has 3 perks ands is a 1/3 of its way to it's 4th. Aside from the sixth sense, I trained them in recon, Brothers in Arms, and I'm working on smooth ride now. If you bought this tank make sure you play it as much as you can while you have the x2 xp bonus, thats really what makes this purchase worth it. I also ditched the vents for optics. Silverwise this tank does pretty good, with my premium account I have banked an easy mil in the last few days, as long as you don't constantly spam premium you should be happy with silver earnings. For some reason, I have been doing better higher tier matches, my last few I finished in the top 5. My best being 3rd at bottom tier, so as long as you play smart and use that low profile, side scrape and look for oppurtunity to strike you should do fine in this tank. Its a mobile medium with bouncy armor, but the gun can troll you. So this is really the perfect choice to represent Mother Russia in the WOT line of Hero tanks.

Glad to hear it's working well for you. Optics seems like a smart choice over vents, especially in high tier matches.

I'll be honest, I haven't quite figured out where the frontal weak spots are on the Motherland. From the front they are giving me hell.

I'll be honest, I haven't quite figured out where the frontal weak spots are on the Motherland. From the front they are giving me hell. Go for the lower plate, also the turret is a good weak spot too. |

What's the average silver income? In my FCM it's about 100k same with Spershing, if it's less than that I'll sell it because I won't play it

I've had a 100k game though, so I'm sure a good player like you could consistently make more. |

The view range is so low (360m) that I just made the leap that I will be relying on other tanks for that. When top tier, it doesn't matter. And when low tier, you aren't going to outspot anything anyway. At least vents helps everything including the camo rating.
And like you, I am taking every opportunity to take advantage of the x2 crew bonus. Although I only have about 1/2 as many games. My biggest problem wit the tank so far is that is appears to be made out of ammo racks.

Silver earning is just like any other tier VIII premium. However, I am trying to take full advantage of the crew training aspect so I am not concerned with trying to save money. I run with food 12 AP, 20 APCR, and 2 HE in case I have to reset the cap. In a win, even if I use a healthy dose of APCR, I still come out positive.

I will say this. Because it can see tier X, you must carry a healthy amount of APCR. The ammo capacity is just not large enough to stock each. As a result, will likely fire some APCR is a good game.
So in terms of silver making, your ammo cost will likely be higher than in the FCM50t, IS-6, or Jadgtiger 88. I like the tank but it won't be my goto tank when I need some silver.

I went ahead and tried out the optics just to see if I do better. |
