I know this topic has been debated ad nauseum for years now.
I've been doing a ton of research on the topic and watching lots of videos. I'm not asking about stats comparisons between the two tanks. I know about the weak spot on the roof of the turret of the 140. I know the 140 has slightly better mobility. I know the T62A has a better turret and one less cupola. I know the T62A has a bit better turret traverse. Of course I know about the one degree of gun depression. I know of the slightly better ground resistance values on the t62a. I know all of that.
That's not my question. I just want to know which one you have more fun in? If you have both, which do you play more? Did you sell one?
I love hull down positions so I'm thinking I'll probably get the T62A first. I swear one of my favorite, most satisfying occurences in the game is hearing shots bounce off of my armor and seeing the little black "incoming" symbol.
I do however thoroughly enjoy the T-54 playstyle as I get more used to it so I don't know.
Thanks as always.

I can't really give you good reasoning but for me, I love the 140. It FEELS better in all areas. It feels more agile, it seems to be more nimble. I have the T62a also but the 140 just feels better and the thing about fun, I enjoy the 140 more.

I have more games in the 62a but I have had it longer. I play the 140 almost every time I'm on. I still have both and I just added the last of the triplets a few days ago. I have no intentions of selling any of the three

The 62A requires more skill to get hull down because of the gun depression, you have to know exactly where to go, there is no trial and error

Primarily play the 140, but I've just started taking the 62a out more often and having fun in it as well. I'm going with the 150 because the extra gun depression is noticeable.

So far they're equally fun for me, they (and the 430, STB-1) move my good game dmg output a bit though, i'm not happy with less than 15 pens.

I have both, with the 62A being my first tier X.
The 140 is more flexible, so I feel like it's usually easier to carry a match with it than the 62A. That said, there are times where the 62A's ability to get hull down and hold a flank are critical. The only thing that gets through that turret is tier X TD premium spam.
They are both pretty equally fun to me honestly.

Which of the two is more like the T-54? From what I can tell, the answer is the Obj 140. If that is true, what other tank does the T-62A compare to? What about the 430?

The T-62A plays pretty much the same way, lower speed, worse camo and gun depression than the Obj 140 but with slightly better gun handling and really evil turret armor. The Obj 430 is the weird one with the best camo and highest fire rate but with a lot worse gun handling, a fragile turret roof and from my experience so far, a fragile gun.

I had and sold both. I was embarrassed every time I took either of them out the garage as I was so bad in them.
I did better in the 140 but preferred the 62a. I did shit with both them.

T-62A's turret is actually really strong, and the one cupola it has, not only is small but also incredibly tough.Ill post below some pictures to illustrate the thickness of the T-62's turret Also in the last picture you can see in that particular spot, the cupola is 252mm thick, however against the standard 120mm gun that would be less than a flip of coin of penning it since these tests were done at 100m. If you are sniping for its cupola they are probably further away than 100m, where your shell starts to lose its piercing power. Oh and this is where it doesnt use its gun depression, if it was using its gun depression, just load premium and shoot right next to its gun, on a as flat as possible zone. I loved my T-62A I had 600+ games in it

I recently started this line. I have it set in my head that I will go with the 140 first, but I plan on getting both anyways. I'm sure it is worth it to own both and grinding the T54 can't be the worst thing in the world. It is probably going to be a keeper for me anyways.

So I went with the 140 and I'm maybe halfway to the 62A. Does it need safe stowage like the 140? I'm training a new crew for it. I have SS, BA and Mentor so far.

62A feels like it takes less module and crew damage overall compared to the 140 for me

I agree with Owl on the module damage, however played both I can say I enjoy the 140 much more, it seems to be really flexible and able to respond to any threat and utilize covers and hills better than a 62A could.

Werewolf...just as Owl mentioned, I found the 140 to be more susceptible to ammo rack damage compared to the 62a. Once I put safe stowage on these issues went away...on top of being more successful at not getting hit there.

I think I prefer the Object 140 but do better in the T62a. They are similar but certainly not the same. I think for its Tier the T-54 is better but the T-54 sees Tier X most of the time and costs a bucket load to run well (at least for me it does) as it needs that Premium.
I make money on the other two but not on the T-54. I'm still learn how to drive them properly but any one of them can change the course of the game and I'm looking forward to platooning with them. Two or more of these working together is going to be huge fun.

Inglorious, I wondered which app you're using there.

I think I am going to go T62A first. The buddies I play with all have the Obj 140. I like to be different than them. Still 80K away from unlocking the 62a though.
