So I've purchased the following 8s during the sale: STA-2 (I previously said I wasn't going to, but I sold the sta-1 because it's the same tank so why not capitalize on the silver/xp multipliers), T49, T54lw, Tiger II.
T49...I've gone 2-8 so far in this tank (stock). I'm initial spotting 2.5 per battle, but it seems like one of two outcomes keeps happening: I'm being out-spotted before I can get to a good bush (I'm trying to passive scout during the slow stock phase), or nobody is hitting my spots. One of my winning battles was a 3000+ assist battle. Is there an alternative way I can run this tank until it gets faster?
t54lw...I haven't battled in it yet because I want to crew train its crew to 100% and add a second skill/perk first (it has 6th sense). Are there any tips for its stock configuration gameplay?
tiger II...haven't played this one yet either...strengths, weaknesses?
thanks for any help

Bullpup...I can't comment on the T54 lt wt, but I can add a comment or two on the T49 based on my limited experience and success (1 MoE on it). I think @owl has an almost 100% damage standing so hopefully he'll chime in.
With a decked out camo crew it can passably passive scout, but not as effectively as some of the others. Early game I utilize it's speed to get to a good viewing spot where I can get a quick side-on shot to dispersing reds making sure to have an exit route. From there I active scout as the map permits or actually sit further back and support pushes. Your HE can consistently do damage to both modules and health. I've slowly whittled away approx. 1000 hit points off of a dug in IS-7 just by hitting him 4 times in the turret. It is also hell on Waffles, French/American side shots and stationary scouts.
It's late game once the reds have been thinned out some that this tank really shines. It allows you to exploit holes and gaps to gain the sides and preferably rears of red tanks conducting drive-by shootings for massive damage. Conserve your health and make sure to slowly move your turret when stationary trying to set-up a shot. It keeps the reticle bloom manageable. Good luck. It's a really fun tank.

For the T54 light, do NOT spot, unless you know they cannot spot you, it needs to be played as a sniper/flanker/end game clean up, it's to big with not good enough camo to spot: be prepared to through out premium but other than that it's a fun tank
