Slow day at work...so I may as well get all my questions out there.
Here's the current list of Tier 7 - Tier X tanks that I *think* I need to own. Looking for advice on tank I've picked that suck - or tanks I haven't picked that I should have.
German Tiger 1 Borsig Indien-Panzer E75 E50 Waffle?
Russian ISU-152 T-54 ST-I
USA M41 T49 T29 E5 E3 E4
British 215B 183?
Premium Tanks Jagdtiger 8.8 T-34-88 (obviously if/when it's available again) Need a Russian crew trainer Need a US crew trainer

I dunno about most but for me I liked the WT Auf PzIV more than the WT Auf E-100. E-75 and E-50 both have horrible stock grinds but once upgraded they are amazing tanks. Some of the best if not the best in Class for their tier. Didn't much fancy the Indien-Pz, the gun simply tanks too long to aim for my liking. otherwise a decent tank just not for me.
As for the ISU-152, never particularly been a fan of the playstyle. Gun is too inconsistent for me and the tank is too much of a one trick pony. No flexibility.
Personally I thought the conqueror was a keeper too. Amazing gun handling. As for the American side the Pershing and T32 are both very good tanks in their tier.
Get yourself an E-25. You wont regret it.

While the armour is good on the STI, I hated the stupidly slow turret rotation. I know why it has a slow rotation but I just found it too slow. And when you get the T54, one of the guns is better than the other.
(really can't remember which though but the T54-M sounds familiar)

Agree with that. Working to get at least the Borsig and ISU-152. Still unsure on the Indien Panzer and T49. As for Jagd 8.8 - I'm just trying to decide between that and the Panther 8.8 now.

Personally I'd go for the Indien Panzer as I loved the Leopard PTA with the 105 (fires APCR as standard) and then the Panther 8.8 as its more versatile.

I watched some replay videos last night of the JT88 and Panther 88. Here's sort of where I'm at:
JT88: Seems painfully slow/sluggish. I think the KV2 is slow, but this makes the KV2 look like a medium. Fantastic gun, though. Fast aim time, good accuracy, and fast ROF. Not sure if I could 'stomach' the speed...?
Panther 88: Maybe I'm wrong, but this really reminds me of a slightly up-armored Hellcat with better pen. Meaning good gun, good ROF, good mobility, and armor that you shouldn't rely on. Am I wrong in thinking that if I play this a bit like a Hellcat I could do well?

I've got the JT 8.8 but never play it because it's so slow and the traverse is rubbish. Personally I think if you enjoy anything other than camping then get the Panther 8.8, it looks like a good sniper and late game medium, not sure what the traverse or speed is like but Hewd (in BNKR clan on these forums) loves it.
If you like brawling you may want to think about the Super Pershing, as long as you keep wiggling and moving back and forth it can be a tough tank to take on, especially if the noobs don't know where to shoot you.

Thanks, at this point I'm not really a brawler. I've never had a tank for it, so I've never done it.
VK36.01 and 30.01 didn't have enough armor for it, Hellcat def. doesn't, and KV2 has too slow of a reload.

The Panther 88 does not have amazing mobility but it's fast enough. The gun is great and even though the aim time looks a bit bad it's no problem with a decent crew. It's a slower Panther II with better dpm and premium match making.
It should tear apart spoted enemies from the second line in the beginning of games, a bit more aggressive when top tier and when you get the feel for it.
It will clean up really good late in games.
