I don't have feelings mad of glass, I have been around for a long time, I know a lot about the game, and I am a perfect angle : D lol So vote Royce 2016 for mod! Plus I am a magician. lols If you become a mod adios from me! seriously, I was told I could swear on here, but I'm not gonna.

Mods will be reviewed often and any power trips will be brought to a halt. It's going to be a bit of work like Geoduck said, we want mods to explain why they have moderated, and have them suggest any further action they believe should be taken, and why, on the report cards. We will be checking every report as they all get sent to an archive, and if we see any patterns forming, certain mods targeting certain individuals etc, we will deal with it.

Accountability is the most important thing to making this work. Not just to the admins, but to the forum population, locking, moving, editing, etc, should be taken seriously. Mods need to be able to separate themselves from their feelings and decide if there is a legitimate reason for the action, or if they just got their jimmies rustled. We all saw that implosion on the official forums, and the worst part is that no one is really held accountable. Just lock and walk away. Mission accomplished.

We're going to paying alot of focus onto the running of moderation, to ensure it's done fairly, and so that the mods are accountable like you say.

Not fun all the time, add to that that you might make some enemies. I mean, I don't expect that to really happen on here but you get the point. In my time being a mod in the past, some people expect to be allowed to get away with absolutely everything and are upset the moment you dare so much as give them a warning. I used to do it for a RSPS a long time ago and it was surprising how many people almost got jealous aswell, we did it very much like this, how a member would put a application up that the community would vote for and then after so long the owner would decide if you would be a mod, it was quite funny how many pms i'd get on a daily basis of "oh who's knob did you suck to get that" type thing lol, its really not fun not being able to just ban someone because you dislike them aswell I dunno if it's really that similar but I did once have a guy basically stalk me to an extent on a chat once because I became a mod and he didn't, disregarding that before then I'd moderated on numerous forums, had been on the chat much longer than him and even helped write the chat rules for the admin. He would ask the admin to get on the chat sometimes JUST to ask if he could become a mod, he would pester me as to how I got chosen, so on and so forth. Though I'm sure this is obvious, it would be great IMO If the mods here get along with the community. By that I mean, well, y'know, actively post and all that. I feel that on for example the WoT Forums, the moderators seem to be very "disconnected" from the community and only really appear to lock a thread.

This is why having people vote on the mod is probably the best option purely because they're likely to be mods that get along with the community, hoping those that do get chosen remember that a mod can't be biased

I'll throw my name in the hat.
I'm admittedly on the liberal side of things and subscribe to a "sticks and stones" approach to most things.

Outside of personal attacks and ethnically distasteful remarks, however, I'm the kind to let things fly and let people settle their differences like adults. I'm also not against "naming and shaming." It's an important skill, being able to accept and respond to criticism, no matter how scathing it may be. I'm simply not the coddling type.

lols If you become a mod adios from me! seriously, I was told I could swear on here, but I'm not gonna. Just because I think you give out terrible advice on YouTube and misinform people doesn't mean I would ban you? see there's the problem bud you assume way to much... who said you would ban me? even if you did, how long would you last as as a mod? also, I give out bad advice? care to elaborate? quote a vid from my channel named 'diary of a tanker'? have you seen any? or are you a judgmental unicum self righteous asshole who has declared himself all knowing. I'd love to know... Last time we met, I gave you some friendly advice, and you just ripped into me and declared my channel to be potato, for potato viewers. wait I'll cut & paste your comment... 'I don't tell you how to fix your terrible twitch/YouTube stuff so don't tell me how to interact with a WG employee when we were having a discussion that was benefiting for the community and WG. Go talk to your potatoe viewers and tell them what to do, but don't tell me what to do.' later you declared me 'as useless as they come' (real mod material there bud) why don't you watch my last vid where I discuss how my obsession with mediums has ruined my channel. On the other hand, 500+ games played in only mediums last month, cough cough 3100 WN8. Do I give a crap? NO! my original comment to begin with, about you becoming a mod, was referring to the fact that if you were a mod, that would mean these forums would simply be a place where unicums come to stroke each others egos, and I wouldn't have time for that. Ban me?!? like I would give a crap! lol

I used to be a moderator on the ratemybody.com forums a loooooong time ago. All I gotta say is make sure you really really want to do it before you volunteer. It's not nearly as much fun as you'd think, it's thankless and it's actually a bit of work. Not trying to dissuade anyone, just pointing out that it's not all fun all the time This. Old Chinese proverb. 'Be careful what you wish for'. I've moderated many communities over the years as that used to be part of my job. I'm not applying but to those who are, know that it can be tough and time consuming. You need patience, diplomacy, politeness, a good way with words and humility. It can also be huge fun so don't be put off and a huge thanks to all who do moderate this forum.
