Need some help here please.... Up until now, I have been grinding Light, Heavy and artillery. I am taking the plunge into TD. I decided to go the German route and am at Marder 38T almost to the Stug. What are you suggestions as far as equipment and supplies? I normally go with Ventilation and Rammer first off. I am specializing in Camo right now. I'd recommend rammer, net and binocs on every TD up until the Jagdpanthers in that line tbh, they rely quite heavily on sniping.

I find it interesting that the average tanker will use vents, coated optics, and a gun rammer no matter what tank they're using. I find this to be one of the egregious mistakes made in the game. In fact, between equipment, consumables, and perks/skills, the most people load up on offense. I've always found offense easy enough to generate. As such, I've always attempted to use the aforementioned tools to help keep me in the batter longer. Large repair kit, tool box, repairs & track mechanic Automatic fire extinguisher, increased engine resistance/CO2 gas, fire fighting/preventative maintenance Large first aid kit, enhanced torsion bars (TD's)/wet ammo rack/medium spall liner, pain tolerance/jack of all trades Other perks/skills: camouflage, paratrooper training, muffled shot, green thumb, silent driving, safe stowage, armorer, controlled impact I've gotten to the point where I'm proficient at dishing out damage, so I tend to load out my tanks with stuff that'll keep me in the fight and dishing out damage...for greater periods of time. I know a lot of people like to use binos or coated optics...but I have a tendency to use the view related perks more often than not for that. It's generally enough. I simply find more utility in equipment that helps mitigate the damage done to my tank. iv started heading down this line of thinking. the maus started it and pzV/IV / E50 just made it worse. glad im not flogging a dead horse.

On my Type 59 with a new crew (only BIA trained) I have the standard rammer, vent, stab equipped. It just doesn't seem to click, may be because of the green crew but was wondering if anyone ran an alternative setup? Was thinking of putting on wet ammo rack until the crew trains on safe stowage, but is it worth the slot?
As for consumables, I have 50/50 AP/APCR, small repair, small med, and large repair. Large repair because I don't have repair trained yet, and its helping reduce the ridiculous module damage it was prone to.

Equipment wise that's the best setup imho, i've tried it with optics but it couldn't hit anything it lit up and team mates couldn't shoot a barn if they were inside the thing, so vents, and the boost they provide, helps with brawling. Consumable wise, that might not be a bad idea until repairs and maybe even safe stowage is trained providing you don't get set on fire often, although it is far more prone to ammo rack damage than fires anyway.

Thanks Rest. Tried wet ammo rack in place of the vent and still got damaged three out of five times and it drove like a pig lol. So its back to good ol' rammer, vent, stab combo and hiding the right flank as much as possible.

Any advice on the new Firefly?
I just got to it and am running this:
Medium gun rammer Enhanced vertical coil springs Improved ventilation (maybe change to spall liner?)
Crew Skill: Working on Repairs.
I haven't played too much of the British line, so I do not have a better crew to assign.
Any changes?

Run the classic medium loadout, rammer, vert stabs and vents or optics. Spall liner is pointless on any medium not designed for ramming. Crew skills would be Sixth Sense, BiA, Repairs, Camo and then you could go with anything boosting spotting, gun or mobility.

I'm running it with gun rammer, vert stab and vents, it's quite slow and everything is typically spotted by other things.

I'm using rammer, vents, and wet ammo rack til I have safe stowage trained. Any reason to have vertical stabilizer instead of wet ammo rack right now?
Edit: Centurion 7/1

Edit: Centurion 7/1 Getting your shots off faster, it's ok to sit hull down a bit while top tier but against some big guns it's better to just get that shell flying fast and get in cover. Even some eights can slap you really bad if you stay up, ISU-152 and the Rhm to name two.

Vert Stabs the consensus then? It's the consensus on every medium capable of equipping it, at least from tier VI and up.

I'm running rammer, camo net, and binocs on my Borsig. Any reason not to continue that on the baby waffle?

What do you fine folks suggest for a fully upgraded E-75? My thought is rammer, vents and vertical stabilizer. Would it make sense to drop vents for GLD?
