Do we have any Halo 5 players here at all? Wouldn't mind having people to play Warzone with.

How is Halo 5? I've never played it, I kinda want to but everybody tells me it sucks but they haven't played it either so that's why i'm asking.

How is Halo 5? I've never played it, I kinda want to but everybody tells me it sucks but they haven't played it either so that's why i'm asking. Biggest thing wrong with it: no splitscreen functionality. Second, the campaign is crap, it's really bad, worst one yet imho. 343 seem to have followed Infinity wards lead and made a multiplayer game with a half arsed campaign bolted on. I'd write up a proper review but wouldn't want to spoil anything, even though there's next to nothing to spoil. The multiplayer is quite good though, not the best, but better than 4. Being able to aim down sights with weapons like the assault rifle feels a a bit weird on a Halo game and i'm still not used to doing it, but getting there. There's 2 main multiplayer categories, arena, which includes the classic Halo modes, and warzone, which is Halo does Battlefield, and instead of unlucking gear by completing acheivements or ranking up, it has gear locked behind the RNG dependant requistions system, meaning you don't pick what you get, it's a lucky dip. The way this works, is by earning points, which you spend on unlock packs (like Mass effect 3, if you played that). Playing games through to completion earns points, with more earned for wins, kills, base captures, flag captures, completing commendations etc. There are 3 kinds of packs, bronze, silver and gold, with chance of rare gear being higher the more expensive the pack. They contain permanent use and single use items. Single use items are for warzone and include things like active camo, ghosts, wraiths etc. Permanent are for both modes and include weapon skins, emblems, armour, helmets etc. Packs can be earned by saving up points, or bought using real money. Doing this isn't wise though, as you could buy a pack and get nothing but speed boosts and mongooses, and earn 1 and get rare armour and a weapon skin. I personally never think spending money on RNG loot is wise. Both modes are fun, with warzone being the one i prefer as i had an awful internet connection from Halo combat evolved all the way through to Halo 4, after which i was finally able to upgrade, so being able to play a big team battle-esque mode now is a novelty, and one that hasn't yet worn off. Overall, the game is fairly good for the multiplayer, although i miss firefight a bit. It was nice for a change of pace.

Ah, Thanks for the review. Now I'm a bit torn, If is better than 4 then I'd probably enjoy it. I actually liked 4, but no spiltscreen and crappy campaign(Though I saw this coming.) is a real bummer. That's half of why I played Halo. I really don't know if I want to spend 60 dollars on Halo multiplayer, Especially with The Division coming out. Which I also don't know if I want yet. Ugh.

I was honestly let down by it. But that's because I really only played Halo for the continuation of the story such as it were. This latest game was essentially a vehicle for selling multiplayer with a story tacked on. Even if Halo 4's story was chintzy it was there. It's barely there this time around though the Warden Eternal is a badass. I probably need to try out the multiplayer just for kicks and giggles though.
