The Anime Thread

It took me long enough to notice, but I do use a screen filter that makes it not seem so pale. 

I liked the color and design elements I seen in that show. I was too distracted seeing all that to read any subtitles. I hope they end up making Goblin Slayer into a movie with real people. I think it would be really good that way. 

Bodacious I found surprisingly enjoyable, cause I genuinely expected it to be something ridiculously fan servicey as say Strike Witches.
Non Non Biyori is top of course as one of the easy to watch slice of life's in the country.

Never seen ef and I dropped that Stella thing after a while and haven't looked back.
Utawarerumono was good but with how the first season was it keeps me from wanting to finish the second one ever.
Kyoukai is also top but there are movies you also will have to watch if they aren't included with it.

One day I'll finish Amagi, I haven't dropped it like I did Stella I just stopped finished watching it for a day and then just never got around to continuing.
Is the Order... I found to be worth going through but I can't really say it's one that stood out in any way really, Slice of Life's tend to be easy to rewatch too like Flying Witch but I never got that with either of the seasons to this.

Binge watched the latest Netflix upload of 7 deadly sins. Its definitely tires and backing itself into a corner with its stories.
Few comics/books/TV programs can escape the escalating threat trope.

Franxx is shit after episode 15 anyway. I wouldn't suggest watching past that point and just pretend that the series ends there.

There are a few things I'd like them not to do. In the way they show reactions at times, it doesn't seem to fit with what's going on or it's weird with what they have characters do. The worst is how they've had both Sword Maiden and Priestess show reactions.

I like Goblin Slayer's character, but lately the way they try to humanize him is a little silly. I can understand that he's not a killing machine at all times, but the way he is at times apart from that--I don't think goes with how I view his overall character. Maybe it's just qualities they've added that I don't like as much. I think they've also made long ears too aggressive in the last several episodes. It's ok for her to be that way, but I think she loses some femininity with it being so over the top. I like when characters are humanized and their weaker sides are shown. I just think at times it has been a little ridiculous with how I think they'd actually be in those cases. 

The main complaint I have with it is stuff like that. I think another big mistake they made is choosing to go with a more 80s vibe with color. Some cartoons from the 80s look similar except they had a reason to with less technology at the time.

With the way it was presented in the Manga, it was circumstantial and with the Hero now being older and actually well being known as the Hero, she doesn't recognise him from those days nor does Priestess but yeah, I'd highly expect for the Anime to somehow make that actually happen, nor him either.

I wouldn't mind it too much if they fuck up the story order or do that BS if they at least sort out the CGI malarkey and keep the gruesomeness of the side-story.

But it does get rather close actually with some parts. And alongside that is the Rockworm being fought against by the rest of the adventurers like the Vanguard Duo or Spearman. Which is well done in the sense of having Orcbolg off doing his thing, completely separate of them which is something that currently hasn't been done. 


Even if they try to build up the 'harem' more, it should completely remain one sided with him on the basis that he's not clueless, he understands that someone like the Priestess has interest in him but he attempts to refuse to care much and definitely not in that way for others based on his childhood and the fear of seeing that potentially happen again.

Several of those scenes looked interesting. It's too bad they didn't link the titles in the description. I tried writing some of those down, but I'm not spending time slowing that video down for them all.
