I've been watching some WoWS content and the Pommern looks good...and more importantly, fun.
I've done a good job of not giving WG any of my money for quite some time, but wondering if this might be a ship worth picking up? Any of you guys that have it have an opinion (especially if you also have Georgia...would you still get it?)

I've done a good job of not giving WG any of my money for quite some time, but wondering if this might be a ship worth picking up? Any of you guys that have it have an opinion (especially if you also have Georgia...would you still get it?) I have Pommern (thank you Yurei!) and its a pretty solid performer. She is nothing like Georgia, but powerful in her own way. 12 guns puts a TON of shells down range, and her pen issues are largely a non issue since aiming for upper belt hits and superstructure adds up to huge damage totals due to the sheer number of hits you can shell out. Her HE is standard German, not phenominal, but she does have excellent pen on them so getting multiple hits will produce salvos in the 5-8k dmg range depending on where you hit. I tend to spend the first bit of the game closing range and waiting for opportunities to push by firing a lot of HE at distant targets. Her accuracy at range isn't great but, like Fuso, firing 12 shells makes scoring hits trivial with decent aim. Any higher sigma or dispersion and she would be borderline OP. The one downside to her guns is the TERRIBLE firing angles on her rear 2 turrets. She does have torpedos, similar to the ones on Tirpitz, but they are knocked out frequently. They DO have excellent firing angles from what I can see and they do surprising damage if you get multiple hits. Georgia is a better ship, but Pommern is a LOT of fun to play. Those guns are absolutely apocalyptic if you catch someone unawares or you flank for a huge broadside. I dev struck an Izumo with mine 4 games in, on multiple cits from about 7km's. Think of her like a tier 9 Scharnhorst. Smaller guns, lots of them, torps, decent armour and good secondaries. Dangerous if given the chance, easy to underestimate, devastating in the right hands.

Thanks! I had forgotten about the German firing angles. I may have to think about it.

Thanks! I had forgotten about the German firing angles. I may have to think about it. Its not a deal breaker for me. You DO have to show quite a lot of broadside to get all guns to bear, but she has excellent citadel protection so it's not as dangerous as it would be in, say, Thunderer. She takes a lot of normal pens, but I have yet to take a citadel hit in her yet, even from Yamato shells.
