So I was perusing Imgur, and came across this post: (Fair warning, it's a bit of a read) imgur.com/gallery/DyYcBBPThe TL;DR is that some people think in full sentences and essentially have an internal narrator, and some people have to speak out loud to vocalize their thoughts and only hear words or short phrases in their mind. So I pose the question to you guys, do you have an internal monologue voice with which you can speak and forms full sentences, or do you think in small abstract blips of words and phrases? I myself have an internal monologue.

Lol Most of the time though, the internal dialogue ends up being what other people have said to me just running through my mind over and over again.

Does internally verbalizing how you'd murder someone count? Then yes, full sentences.

internal monologue here mostly, but there are some exceptions.
During lovemaking there is minimal internal dialogue for me at least and likewise when in serious pain or very depressed. I suppose when caught up in an emotionally strong reality, the moments becomes far less defined by an internal dialogue.
During my morning routine if you can call it that, I often start humming some tune such as the brady bunch theme song but it might have different timings depending on my emotional state and then as I wake up, usually in the shower stream of consciousness and often nonsense lyrics creep in although sometimes the lyrics are themed. I'm not sure how to describe it, same tune, two different days, different random lyrics, often rhyming with varying timing depending on the day. The weirdest part is for as long as I can remember, cheese and Cabbage are two words which crop up in there. Now I eat cheese semi regularly but can't remember the last time I had cabbage cooked in the home and both of those words are not food items I consciously think about during my fully wake state except right now of course.
There's also another exception I think and it's when relaxing with the guitar but not really consciously thinking about it. Music(well that's what I call it) comes out but it's not tunes i'd been thinking about, it's a feeling thing, more abstract and more absent minded.

Does internally verbalizing how you'd murder someone count? Then yes, full sentences. Hmmm does the murdering bit start with Clint Eastwood isque voice asking the murder victim "Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn't have messed with? That's me" ? On the rare occasion that I have, it's just me and the victim and I've somehow got this Eastern European or Russian accent going on and it's very quick, far less gruesome than when I don't verbalise it. Non verbal but visual variants are far slower and prolonged and focus more on the torture to the extent that I catch myself and the internal dialogue starts. For example, I've realised I've sliced the anonymous male(it's always male) person's feet bit by bit and am working my way up the shins and I catch myself. What the hell are you doing?, just feeding someone wrapped in plastic(except for their head so they can breathe) into a meat slicer toes first, oops. yeah, probably shouldn't dwell on that huh? No, it's effin disgusting so stop it already!! Says my internal dialogue so I do and move on to something more pleasant and reasonable.

I definitely have an internal monologue as I'm reading or typing, like my brain is either speaking as the other person, or is speaking through my fingertips as I type.
Other than that, I just suppose it depends. Sometimes it's not a narration of sorts, sometimes it's an image of sorts, and while I don't "see" them I could probably tell you what it looks like pretty accurately.
Internal narration from me sometimes does get spoken out loud as I think, so occasionally it becomes external. Stuff like, "I'd better hurry up" or "Am I doing this right?".
I've shared a lot of my..."thoughts" on here, and as you guys might probably be able to tell, my inner narrator isn't always kind to me.

On a more serious note -
Yes, I internally monologue all the time, especially when I'm at work.
If I pull someone over, I begin thinking of ways they could kill me, running through what actions I would take if they did XYZ. Telling myself to check my mirror before I open my door, so I don't get taken out by a soccer mom on her phone, etc.
My internal monologue, as far as I can tell, is my own voice.
When I'm riding, I think about what I'd have to do if something fell out of someone's truck, or a car cut me off with no blinker, etc.
At home, when I'm doing Honey-Do's, I talk myself through stuff - Gotta take out the trash, check to make sure we have enough trash bags when I grab one... Do I need to change out the AC filters yet... Stuff like that.

Definitely Internal Monologue for me too then. If I'm not spaced out on something then I'm pretty focused, thinking about my next step.

Interestingly I found myself speaking my thoughts out loud more often when I'm under the influence of alcohol.
I don't do it around anyone else but I thought I'd build on my independence a bit and test if I could enjoy being at a bar without the usual friends I depend on.
Answer is yes...I guess?
But yeah I found myself saying stuff like "the only person that can get you home now is you" out loud.
10/10 would converse with myself again.
