This is a new documentary done just for the end of WWI. It uses colorized films from the Imperial War Museum and was directed by Peter Jackson. The only people that are heard speaking in it are veterans that were interviewed in the 1960s. Just seeing it makes the war see like something current, not something that happened over 100 years ago now.

Fantastic!! I can’t wait to see it. I mentioned it to my wife and she already knew about it. I guess it’s easy to see who pays attention in our house.

There was an old series called World War One in Colour I saw a few times. The colorization wasn’t all that good though.

I've been meaning to watch this, it was shown on British TV in November for Rememberance Sunday, I missed out for some reason...

more than $52.00AUD through Amazon Australia or less than 15 quid through Amazon UK. There's something about seeing these soldiers being jovial and so full of life which resonates with me. I hope it has that throughout. It'd be absolutely amazing if it captured some of the western front Christmas Truce(https://www.history.com/topics/world-war-i/christmas-truce-of-1914) which is another thing which gets me a bit misty eyed. Still if it doesn't, I still plan to watch and strengthen my memory in the process, lest I forget.
