Torpedoes. These are a pain in the ass! You have just that white arrow when flying. Preplanning your attack is very important! Just being sloppy and dropping them willy-nilly will get you nothing! I did my best to be perpandicular with my target on the approach, you would click the first time about 5km out (this varies from plane to plane)with nothing between you and your target. Second click, wait for your planes to drop (1-2 sec) and you will see a green-yellow feild. The yellow feild shows how long it takes your torps to activate. The green feild is where you want your target to be. Last minute ajustments made this field bigger, so preplan your drop! After dropping you can adjust your camera and watch or you can plan your next drop. Either the bots were REALLY good at dodging torps or they are just SLOW (even after torpedo acceleration). Games with more than 2 hits were rare.

There was one time I got "sniped". I was in a Shokaku and he was in a Midway, it as took him SEVERAL RUNS so it was no surprise like before when you suddenly sunk. As long as I sent up my fighters from my carrier at the begining of the battle (it last 10 minutes, cool down didn't seem long either) sniping wasn't a problem. You can also focus your AA like you can on all the other ships by pressing the (~) key and choosing a side. Also you are able to send fighters to patrol an area by flying over that area and activating the consumable. Before I could send my fighters to a mountain and spot half the map, now you have to be careful and use islands as cover, and you can't see through them. Preplanning your attacks like before is important but I find myself actually doing it more since I can directly see the cuase of my actions. I didn't see unlimited planes as a problem becuase they are only doing damage when you properly use them. Other ships have unlimited torps and shells but they are only doing good when they hit the target. Here's a shot from my last game in the Hakuryu last night, I had a simular one in the Midway but it kept crashing so I didn't get a shot of that. Both are fun but very different ships and planes. Can't wait for the rework to go live, I might actually play in random battles more!
