This is something that I did during my time in school. We temporarily paid a visit to the nearby college and had these projectors to project outlines of stuff. I chose a dragon pattern, so basically all I did was colour it in while my dickish tutor kept telling me to hurry up. That would explain why only half is bolded and half isn't. Now this sits as an "alright looking" wall decoration in my room. It has a bit of wear to it, but it's been more than 6 years since I painted it. My real name is censored, that's not a random blotch of dark grey. I don't like dragons much, but I like that design. Puts me in mind of knights and all that. I'd like to find a good example of a girl knight to draw from.

Priestess from Goblin Slayer I can so relate to her reaction to this.

She's a villain mind you but rides a blue dragon and is decked out in blue dragon scale armour. lexicon.dragonlancenexus.com/index.php/File:Kitiara_uth_Matar.jpgNot sure if it helps but there might be some inspiration at www.pinterest.com.au/nerdyspinster/female-knight/ It tends to be classic fantasy though which might not be the art inspiration you are chasing.

Thanks. I did a search and didn't really come up with much, but some of those from pinterest are what I'm going for. I've not really aspired to be in the military, but when I think of a female knight or warrior, it inspires me to bravery. Because someone who can shoot a bow and arrow, handle a sword, kill some dragons along the way, etc. can in my mind handle just about anything. 😁

Guild girl from Goblin Slayer I don't like drawing sadness, but I thought it was interesting how her face was offset. It also captures my feeling of boredom today.

Some old drawings I did back in my mid 20s. The first one is a dogfight between two jet fighters I made up, you might see an F4 Phantom and Mig 15 resemblance. The other one is a clear night full of stars. I'll try and post more soon.

I wanted to share this in case anyone is interested. I'm part of a group called Sketchbook Skool. They have free and paid courses. One of their courses that usually costs money is free for a short time. It's called 'How Art Can Make You Happy'. If you use the code HAPPY19 you can enroll in it for free. You just go to sketchbookskool.com and sign up. It's a week long course so it's not a large commitment, but it will have plenty of stuff to do. Normally once you enroll in a course, you have access to it forever. I imagine once you enroll that it will be there after the week is up, but I'm not sure if it will be that way for this one or not. Also, it's international so it should work for everybody.

Do overlays count? I themed this one after the menus of Ridge Racer type 4. I can change the icons on the bottom depending on what game mode is active, what team I'm driving for, and what make cars I'm driving.

I'm stretching it here by posting my minecraft worlds, probably reaaaaallly stretching it, but my earlier minecraft worlds highlighted a more passionate time I had in creating things.

Hey, I spent a good 2 weeks hooked on Minecraft not too long ago just building shit. I renovated a village full of villagers into a giant town and then built a giant castle to overlook it with a moat and everything. I think Libary has posted his anatomically correct tank builds from Minecraft on here before, so I don't see any harm in it.

So, recently I have been investing time into learning to draw pokemon (who'd a thunk), using Pokemon Art Academy for the now unsupported 3DS system. A lot of these look pretty decent, but these are just the results I get while in-lesson. Some of the later sketches, you can tell I'm not using a full overlay but just construction shapes, from which you have to effectively create your own overlay. Unlike trying to draw pokemon art entirely by myself, I've not gotten frustrated at my current lack of skill nor left anything incomplete at all. Some of this was immensely satisfying to finish, especially Pumpkaboo! That one is a construction shapes lesson on shading and that came out so fucking well oh my god. I'll post that first, but this isn't all in order. Also note, the backgrounds (if present) are provided by the "game". The main character of each are the results of my lessons/quick sketches. I've yet to draw a subject in free paint but I think I could somewhat competently do one. Anyway list begins now. Pictures are surprisingly high res so they're in spoilers. Pumpkaboo (Apprentice, Construction shapes, Shading lesson 2) Togepi (Novice, Full Overlay, outline width and colour lesson) Omanyte (Quick sketch) Pichu (Novice, Full overlay, outline width and colour lesson) Hoppip (Quick sketch) Pachirisu (Novice, Full overlay, Outline width and colour lesson) Inkay (Novice, construction shapes lesson) Charmander (Novice, Construction shapes lesson) Bulbasaur (Novice, Construction shapes lesson) Darumaka (Quick sketch) Pikachu (Novice Finale, Construction shapes overlay)

I got some more. You're about to enter "the derp zone" where I gradually move away from lessons and try to free paint from subjects. They didn't take particularly long, but I do notice some improvements in my base skills and patience at least. Pancham (Subject and Grid only, Free paint) Chandelure (Painterly style lesson, apprentice course) Pikachu (Apprentice Finale) Snivy (Apprentice lesson, sketching/hatching) Jirachi (Apprentice Lesson, Painterly style) Shinx (Free paint, subject and grid) I should probably make a start on my graduate lessons at some point.

I like tanks, I like cats, here's both of something I created! These are fantasy machines, something not to be design seriously and more meant to be inspired by old games that use tanks in a comical format.

Not so much Art as Crafting. I gave the Wife a Glowforge laser cutter/printer as her Christmas Gift this past weekend. Normally I would have waited until Christmas Day to give it to her, however, she's been wanting one ever since they first came out a few years ago and I knew she'd want to use it to start making presents for other people, so we went ahead and did the exchange early. We got everything set-up on Sunday and she started making her first items. We have some friends that are huge Star Wars fans (they even enjoyed all the films in the "final" trilogy) and have gone crazy for the Mandalorian show. So the Wife decided to make a couple of coasters for them as experiments. These are early experiments so the placement and setting need a bit of adjustment but they turned out pretty well. The Wife has a very creative side (that I don't share) so this is a perfect gift for her.
