We used to have a rescued greyhound as a pet and he always used to stratch his back on our table, chatter his teeth when being petted, and at our old home, race 3 laps around the shed when we threw a tennis ball because his mind was still full of racing.

Snore, we used to have a yellow lab that looked like your male dog. He had hip issues and we had to have him put down. He was a good dog LT, your little girl looks like trouble  but she is cute |

Beautiful dogs. How is your male since she died? He's doing much better now. It was a rough stretch for him...Abby and then he had CCL surgery. He's recovered well from both. |

When my wife had to quit working in 2008, it was due to seizures. The dog could sense a seizure beginning and it would lick her face. It helped her to come out of many seizures. In 2012 the dog suffered from the IVDD thing that cripples Doxie’s. We took her to an animal hospital that did surgery to try to reverse the effects of the IVDD. She can walk but that’s about all. She can’t jump or climb steps so I carry her upstairs each night when it’s bedtime and back down in the mornings. She is the best dog we have ever had |

I've had several kinds of dogs throughout my life--various spaniels and labs, but I think our dachshund is the smartest dog I've ever owned. |

So apparently I have a kitten now. She was a stray near my house that started following my brother and I when we went by on walks. She eventually followed us to my house and we fed her. My brother took her to the vet and they got her all checked up. Other than being extremely malnourished she's fairly healthy. No leukemia or feline AIDS, and they don't think she's pregnant even though she's not spayed. She's about 10 months old.   |

I don't remember us ever taking in any stray animals. We fed some, but I guess they eventually went back where they came from. We had one that used to always lay on my head when I was sleeping.
