It's better since the buff (heal) - but it's still a fairly low DPM T8 cruiser that will see T10 MM semi-often. It's also actually different than the Hipper now (which got the DPM buff), so it's not exactly like playing a silver ship.

Derpitz can still be a fun ship - but it's not what I would consider strong. 8 inaccurate guns of a small-ish caliber and you see T10 MM. On the other hand; it's quite tanky, has fun to use secondaries, and 6km torps. I guess the bottom line is it's kind of a close range brawler, but in the current meta that is very dangerous until late game.
