Thanks to Dyslexsticks, i now know how to upload wot replays to youtube without needed to spend ages waiting for the laptop to load up, so i'm going to make more wot videos. The series i'm going to do is on hidden gems in the TTs. However i'd like some suggestions regarding tank choice please. Probably going to start with lower tier stuff and work up from there.

R35T...can't wait to see what you do! What do you consider "lower tiers"? The Panzer IV H with the derp is a great little tank that I feel surpasses the M4 with the derp. It's got better gun handling and RoF and is good fun. If you're going down lower than T5 there are a couple of fun little tanks that are sort of OP even in my hands...they would be filthy with you running them...The American T4 HMC M8 medium tank and the British T3 Cruiser Mk IV with the PomPom. The German medium VK30.01D at T6 is also a good little tank that is very similar in play style to the Cromwell.

I'll put tier VI at the high end of "lower tiers".
The Hetzer, derp or not, is a great little vehicle.
I absolutely adore the 38(t), and even with overpowered stuff like the US Sexton it's my favorite tier III by a wide margin.
I agree with Snore on the Panzer IV being a gem, though I run the 75 instead of the derp cannon.
The tier III Chi-Ha in the Japanese line is a great ridge fighter, and the Type 89 is something many people ignore even though I believe it gets the same cannon as the tier III heavy from the line, with almost equal HE and AP penetration at tier II (so does the Ha-Go).
Being completely honest here, the Churchill GC is not nearly as bad as many believe it to be, and is surprisingly bouncy despite being a box.
The Churchill VII is also a mean little machine if you can get yourself in the right position, especially if people don't bother to shoot your turret.
The MT-25 is my favorite light tank to play, even after the nerf (RIP 70 KMH and 1.5 second reload).
I also really like the Ikv 103, even with the all HEAT ammo. Somebody has to like it right?

Having recently gone through the M7 I was pleasantly surprised by the performance on that tank and although I've moved on from it I might revisit it in the future. It's a very tiny tank so it can get in close to get off spots and use low ridges as cover that would otherwise leave a lot of other tanks out in the open and when tanks do start to get too close it has the mobility to get away. Two top gun options being the ever reliable 6 pounder or a 75 mm gun, I went with the 6 pounder. High rate of fire coupled with decent pen at 105 standard or absurd pen at 170 with premium rounds make this tank a bit of monster in 1v1 situations.
The T20 was another one that stood out to me. The tank's Joe average in most ways but something about having a 90 mm on a tier 7 medium tank is a bit special I think. It's been some time since I played the tank so not going to go on about it too much.
The Churchill I is another I think. Pretty decent armor for a tier V heavy even with its turret being a bit butter but shooting a tank in the turret is counter intuitive and a lot of people are just going to try to shoot you in the hull which you can get some nice bounces off of if you angle it right. The gun is also quite punchy with decent standard pen, ok damage, and a good rate of fire.

I'm thinking tier 3-4 is a good place to start, thanks for the suggestions so far guys. I'm looking forward to doing this, it'll keep the game interesting.

Tier 3 and 4?
Marder II, even stock, this thing is a little machine gun terror of a TD
D.W. II, personally loved the armour and gun on this thing, but I only played a few games, may have to try it again
Matilda, cuz Matilda (Although it isn't really a hidden gem, pretty well known)
Duck tank, how can you not love the duck tank?
Chinese M5A1 Stuart, that thing's ridiculous fun at tier 4 and the gun is just great
All the Swedes at tier 3 and 4 are amazing fun, except maybe the m/40L

The Pz 38 nA is an overpowered beast now. I used to do ok with it on tier 7 matches. But since they removed scout MM from it, it's great. You can wreck face with it if your team isn't completely stupid.
