Some real cheap packages where you get back the full doubloon value if you already own the ship.
I've got the Graf Spee, so buying the package gave me 5200 doubloons (4700 for the ship plus 500 from package), a port slot and 6pt captain for £7.69
Also got the Anshan (which comes with 1500 doubloons, port slot and 6pt captain) for £7.69
So I've got a T6 DD, 2 port slots, 2 6pt captains and 6700 doubloons for £15.38.
6700 doubloons are worth £23.60 on their own.
There is also the Texas with stars and stripes camo for the same price (you keep the camo if you already own the ship)
Or there is the Ishizuchi with slot, 6pt cap, 2 Yamamoto containers, 25 Storm Wind camo, MSM1 and DCM1 for £3.85

Yeah, I bought all the Steam deals. I already had the ships, but got a bunch of doubloons for way less than typical doubloon price. I also bought the Ishizuchi because it was a whopping $5.
Thinking I might get the Asashio also.

I did the Texas and Ichizuki deals. Also picked up the Ashitaka, as I'm starting to see that tiers VI-VIII are kind of where I want to be. I thought about the Anshan as first destroyer, but the Wiki says the torps only have a 4km range. That seems suicidal.

I bought the Asashio. It is not a good Co-op ship at all. One of the few ships that is much better in randoms.

Already had the TX and Anshan (use the 8km torps, BTW) so went ahead and got the $30 gold value of each ... for $10 each. Got the Graf Spee, which is going to take some getting used to due to the slow speed and reload, and the Ishasukwhatever, which actually might be fun! Thing sets fires at a hilarious rate. Used some of the dubs I got to buy the deGrasse, as I have fallen madly in love with French cruisers. I'm gonna like it. A lot. Now if they'd just put the Belfast, Atlanta, or any of the Kamikazes on sale ...  |

Graf Spee is a tremendously fun ship. Her torpedo angles are truly insane, her AA is actually decent with the defensive AA fire, the Repair party helps a LOT with fire damage and her guns hit HARD when they pen. AP to the superstructure of battleships does around 5-7k dmg a salvo, depending on your aim. I have scored citidels on tier 5 and 6 BB's from within 10km's with her too. It is rare, but possible.
Remember. She is an upgunned cruiser, NOT a fast battleship. Her armour, while decent versus cruisers, is NOT meant to take a beating from battleships or multiple enemies at once.

I like the deGrasse, but it has the armour of a wet cardboard box. Fast firing guns though, plus HAS. Played it a few games now, and it REALLY benefits from smart ammo selection -- the HE shells are apparently made from week-old baguettes that shatter on seemingly everything. The AP quickly rings up damage on anything broadside, however, so you always need to be looking for those opportunities. And the speed boost lets you ninja incoming fire pretty well. Not sure many folks know it has that as an option. |

Don't have IFHE, but not sure I will get it -- I only have one good French crew, and he won't need it for higher tiers (which are 203s starting at tier VII, and end with 240s). If I had a dedicated crew for it, or built one for a lower tier, then yes.  Speed boost mod would be hilarious -- holy crap IJN DDs would poop themselves. |
