If you want to play a game that is almost diametrically opposite to WOT, then check out Subnautica. I seem to have replaced one addiction with another with this game.
Weirdly it's at the other end of the scale to WOT, a bit Yang to WOT's Yin and is massive fun to play.
Gotta go now though, to take out my brand new Cyclops sub, took me a lot of time to put all the things together I needed but had a lot of fun doing so.
There's no multiplayer option but a few very unpleasant sea creatures to deal with and a large area of sea to explore and enjoy.
Highly recommended.

I've got the free trial version, yet to give it a proper go but it does seem good and im seeing plenty of positive reviews for it.

I've been watching Jingles play it and am going to get it.
Just wish they had the full version console, rather than a two-year-old trial-type version.

So I went ahead and got the console version.
Pretty much the same as PC with a few things to note:
1. It's still kind of in beta, so they have updates to it (latest was several weeks ago, so it is recent). Guessing they will do a massive one once the full game is launched on console ... ?
2. Looks good, but not as good as on PC (as is expected).
3. It is laggy at times, especially when surfacing or there are lots of things to render. If you've ever played Minecraft on console, it's similar to how the world will render in sections.
4. It's stupid dark in the caves. Like, literally cannot see. Flashlight is needed prior to getting the Seaglide.
5. Sometimes when you break limestone or similar rocks, the materials you get from them will fall and not be automatically added to your inventory, so you have to chase it down. It's really annoying, tbh.
Overall, though, seems to be just as fun as the PC version. Wife and I got the Seamoth already and are trying to find the plans for the habitat (the general purpose room isn't in my database yet for some reason).

You're right, the Shroom Caves rendering his horrendous and if you get stuck down there and then go back to a previous Save your Seamoth will do strange things. I still have one spinning on the spot close to a sandbank near my home base. All in all though the game is loads of fun.

I been digging this game lately too. As others have said it could use a bit of polish but for a $20 early access title it's an awesome game

Been tempted but this seems like a really big time sink It can be, but as it's still a beta they've left all the Dev commands in so you can cut corners. Like if you type in "Bobthebuilder" you don't have to collect resources and everything can be built from the start, there's also "invisible" so animals won't attack you (some are attracted to metal and noise though). There are different modes too which let you play the game as you like, think there's a hardcore mode where you have to eat and drink as well as come up for oxygen, a mode where you just have to come up for oxygen and another where all object can be build from the start and you don't have to worry about eating drinking or coming up for air. Ive got a couple of games going at the moment with different commands used. But yeah, if you play it properly from scratch it'll take ages.

Been tempted but this seems like a really big time sink You should try it Ruthless. It's only $20 and as Imhidingshhh says there's lotsa different modes and "cheat" commands to keep it from getting too grindy. There's also a totally free trial mode available but it's only good for an hour or so. Keep in mind that it's a single player sci-fi undersea survival and exploration game and not a historical Age of Sail PvP Loot and Plunder kinda game

Been tempted but this seems like a really big time sink Took the wife and I about 70 hours, but we spent a lot of time making our habitat pretty.
