If there is one map I struggle on it's Severogorsk. There is so much stuff on it and so much terrain that I generally have no idea what I'm doing on that map. After playing it loads of times I still don't really know the map which doesn't help.
What about you guys, how do you find it? What do you do when you're in different classes of tanks on this map?

It depends on which type of tank you are using of course. I prefer the South East spawn in a light tank and head straight for the little wooded knoll on the coast just beyond the bay. From there you get into cover and if you have optics will begin to detect the Reds pushing through the valleys to the east. Hopefully, your TDs will start eating into their hit points at this stage and get them to pull back and allow your heavies to approach and deploy. You can even push the tree on the knoll over towards the west giving you the opportunity to double bush and shoot them without getting spotted. Beware doing this at teir 10 however as the red TDs will probably detect you or even out spot you, then your position is compromised. I have had great success on this position. Anything with good gun depression would also work here as you can pull back behind the knoll.

Most of my games there have been from the south spawn. Usually I go up the hill on the 0,1 line, gives a brief moment for some shots before they get down that Valley. All situational mind you. I did see a video played on that map, from that spawn, where he took his T29 to a ridge in the b4-b6 area (I think), went hull down and lit up reds coming around the far hill

I much prefer South West spawn and move along to a small dip at around K8 to start with. Tanks always come through two gaps at around H8 and H9 and it's good to get some early kills. When they've been thinned out then up towards those gaps to flank the town.
When on North spawn, it seems the best way is to fight through the West side but the problem then is when you get through Opfor can snipe you from right across the map.

If i'm in a fast tank with good gun depression i'll try and rush the west hill and shoot down either into middle or shoot the other spawn rushing the same hill, if i'm in a big armoured heavy i'll go east and contest that flank. But i suppose it also depends on where the team goes.

If I start at the North spawn I'll usually head West and use the mounds and bunkers an try to hold up the Reds on the corner, and if I'm South I'll usually head North along the 1–2 line but not go down the slope in case the other flank falls and I have to fall back to defend. I don't usually mess about in the middle as I like room to Manouver, and I find most lemming train to the 9-0 line anyway so I feel I'm usually needed on the 1-2 line.
(I'm always platooned by the way)

I've noticed that both teams 90% of the time have a lemming train going opposite sides. I try not to go with lemming trains as i never get any damage done so am always stuck with maybe 1 or 2 if im lucky against their entire team and have no chance. So, for me, that map is a choice of do nothing or do nothing. i really dislike it

I have started going to E/F/G-7 from either spawn and have been getting good results in predominately medium tanks.... From here you can shoot the snipers at the Super Secret Sniper Ridge in the West, get flank shots at people fighting in the SE corner, or pull a flanking maneuver through the small pass @ E/F 8/9. Probably not a good spot in a slow or unturreted tank....
