Is the Cesare worth it? Seems like a good ship. Also: any premium ship recommendations? I've read some reviews on the official forums from...Trope? Can't recall exactly, but they were helpful. The tier II US one is hilarious fun, I guess, and I have a Texas. Would like a good middle tier ship. Nation doesn't really matter, as I am doing all but the French.  . Also not sure if I want a BB. Cruiser or DD would be good. Won't try CVs for a while. |

Is the Cesare worth it? Seems like a good ship. I certainly think it is. The only drawback to the Giulio is the same with other T5s, they see a lot of T7 MM. Scharn is a good mid-tier premium. It is a BB, but it plays a lot like a cruiser with the fast reload. One of the more forgiving ships around. DD wise I'd highly recommend either the Sims or Leningrad. They have slightly different play styles, but both are great. With the Belfast and Kutuzov removed from sale, the cruiser choice got harder. Molotov is good, but squishy; Duca is good, but low DPM, De Grasse is probably the most forgiving of the T6 premium cruisers. There's also the Atago at tier 8 and the Atlanta (hilarious ship) at T7. Atlanta and Leningrad are not currently for sale. Sims is kind of a "must have" if you want to go down the US DD line - great trainer and has built in XP multiplier. Here's my review of the Atago |

Yeah, I wanted to get the Belfast but they took it away before I had the funds (I get paid monthly, so end of month gets a tad thin on extras  ). Sims was probably going to be my initial choice, tbh, as I like the USN DD playstyle a lot more than the IJN one. Gonna wait until I have a real tier VI, though. |

Only view range. Nothing affects radar or hydro range. Not even islands being in the way.

Only view range. Nothing affects radar or hydro range. Not even islands being in the way. So it's similar to WoT spotting in extreme weather where if a destroyer yolos and spots enemies, every battleship and cruiser can see them at maximum render range in the cyclone, even if they couldn't spot them themselves? |

Guys how do i get good with torps? I'm trying to use them more with the Gneisenau but i'm struggling, they often miss and i have to give alot more of my side then i'd like to get a good firing angle.

Battleship torpedoes are a last resort weapon, usually. Don't use them until you're in "can't miss" range.

Seriously, I'm interested but am generally concerned that these battles are "slower", in general, and with my limited opportunity to play games (not including my upcoming vacation time where I SHOULD be more free to play) I'm concerned that this will result in very long grinds and not seeing much progress leading to frustration on my part.

It is slower, i only have time for an hour or two here and there so grinds are very slow. If you're playing it to get the bigger ships it could be frustrating. If you're playing it because you're a bit of a ship nerd like me then just playing the game is fun. Tier 5 doesn't take too long to reach and there are plenty of well known ships even at tier 5. |
