Are there going to be any more battle cruisers added to the game guys? I'm really enjoying the Graf spee, but it seems that there aren't many similar ships in the game.
I've been told by Ronnie that Japanese BBs are worth looking at.

Mid tier Japanese BBs are up armored battlecruisers. Faster than their counterparts, squishier armor, powerful guns. But they don't really play like Graf Spee. As far as I know, no other ship plays quite like Spee.

IJN BB's are the closest you will find basically. 35 knots, massive guns, insane range. They are squishy, but have a lot of hitpoints. They excel at harassment, ambushing and long range fire support.
Of all the BB lines, I find them the most forgiving, as they allow you to support practically any point on the map even if you put yourself in a bad position. Range is 25km's with a spotter plane, which allows you to massacre unsuspecting ships well out of their detection range. I personally have annihilated cruisers with the Fuso from 20+ km's, hitting sometimes for 20,000 or more damage in a single broadside, from so far away the enemy isn't even in the same time zone.
At roughly 35 knots, most mid tier Japanese bbs can keep pace with cruisers and destroyers, forming devastating and highly mobile hunter killer battlegroups, that can single out, or outright overwhelm all but the most well prepared or numerous enemies, with absolutely astonishing ease.

Welcome to the war effort, Major. Here's my strategy as of now: 1. Unlock all tier IIs via Co-op bot battles 2. Get U.S., British, and Japanese IIs, and upgrade them via Co-op bot battles 3. Once fully upgraded, punish the green team by playing randoms. Probably should easily be able to do that tonight ... ? Maybe?

I spent my first few games playing coop just to learn the basics of the game. Computers are a good way to prepare yourself for the game. If you'd like to division up, add me in game, I have some tier 2's I could play, be it random or coop battles. Make sure to use a reference code from someone, to unlock the texas on your first tier 6 battle and a free premium ship at tier 2

Thing is, this is literally the first PC game I've played in nearly 40 years, so it's taking quite a bit of time to get used to the controls. I can type about 100 wpm, but without my fingers on the home keys, they get lost real quick and start clicking all kinds of random keys. I did figure out how to go fulls screen so I don't keep getting pop up notifications ... which I try to close ... only to accidentally fire my guns and do team damage instead. As far as divisioning up, lemme get some random battles under my belt first so I don't tk ya. Also not sure if my headphones and mic (not Xbox; Skullcandy) will work on my PC ... ? That might make being in a division kinda difficult...? (No idea. Text chat works well and easy, so maybe that'd suffice.)

Divs work great in coop as well as random and don’t sweat the coms too much. My hearing is bad enough that I’ve never bothered to use voice-com anyway. You can div-chat and that works quite well.
Look forward to seeing you in-game!

I'll give Divisions another +1. On the worst of days, divisions with BNKR guys have turned my whole day around.

Dont worry about noobishness Major, playing with div mates helps you learn where to go, what shells to use when and basic naval tactics.

Englush, i just found a option in settings, controls. Called alternative interface mode, enable that. Gives you shell travel time indicator. Match the travel time to the second marker on the crosshair (put the 5 on the bow of at ship that will take your shells 5 seconds to reach for example) and your shells should hit. Aim further for DDs though. You can change the crosshairs whilst in control settings too. There's 14 different ones. Quite fond of No.10 myself.

Played my first two "real" games last night. Finished top of the board both times. What I'm noticing is how much I tunnel vision vs. when I play tanks and am always looking around. Going to need to get used to that and looking around using the mouse (right button to free look, I know. ) Gonna tank tonight, but will probably be on Saturday evening/night, so I'll look y'all up!

When I started playing I put those rubber drawer bumpers on the my keys to help me find them in the heat of battle.

Watch some streams from Flamu. Seriously. He's not up everyone's alley, but he is a good player and does usually explain what he's doing and why. I really went from a mega-trash player to decent just using what I learned from him. Will do mate, i've watched a few of his vids (saw that ships can reverse sidescrape off islands, bearing that in mind). I'll make sure to check out his streams. A new sailor here too!! I downloaded a week or so ago and i havent had much time to play. i have maybe 3 battles played and it seems interesting so far. I'm looking forward to getting in to the battleships as i progress Welcome to WoWS mate :-) which nations are you going to grind first do you think? Thanks R35t, I appreciate it! i really need to dig in to the nations to see which ones to grind early on Rest, you should give him your "invite a friend" code. Gives you both some free shit. Thanks for the suggestion dude!! it is appreciated

Which ship type are you most interested in playing? Focusing on cruisers and DDs right now, with Japanese and U.S., with a side of British cruisers. No clue about what nations are good at what, other than US destroyers are good and IJN DDs spam torps.
