I've only managed a handfull of citadel hits since I started playing, never specifically tried for them buts it's nice when I get them.
In other news I'm only about 13k away from my Cleveland

What tier do the British battleships turn into HE spammers? They all look like they have a good fire chance from tier V and up.

I think as low as Tier IV. I don't remember much about Bellepheron, but I think Orion is the start of the crezy fire chances. 30%+, QE at Tier VI is maybe 40%?

You can spam HE in any british BB at basically any tier. Its not uncommon to one hit DD's and do upwards of 12,000 damage in a broadside to cruisers, you will every so often get a citadel with the HE as well on soft skin targets.
Hitting the superstructure on an enemy BB earns around 7k damage a shot plus fires. Its insanely effective. Shoot your first and second turret, if it lights a fire wait for buddy to put the fire out. If they do, shoot your remaining turrets. You will probably light them on fire again. If not, keep alternating firing betwren your two groups of turrets to stagger your fire. If buddy is lit on fire and doesnt repair, change targets and light someone else on fire.
50,000 damage in a british BB is insanely easy to get. You can hit around 70k damage in a round pretty easily with just firing HE. You will be the bane of any DD you can actually hit, so long as your aim is okay. Cruisers will be crippled in a single shot usually, taking absurdly high damage, losing half of their AA power, torpedo tubes, main batteries and engines, sometimes in one salvo if you move your aim point down the ship as you fire.

I crushed out a few matches and unlocked the Orion. Took it into co-op for a couple to test it out and the results are hilarious. Fire after fire, multiple incapacitations, and I did find a couple cruiser citadels. The British battleships are now my sole focus.

I had a whole bunch hoarded up, I think you can buy 100 or so for 5 bucks. It's worth the money, just put one on for each battle and you should have your Nelson in no time! I have been getting about 10-14k free xp a day using these flags and I only had 320 or so saved up. |

Warspite should be used primarily with AP, with very few exceptions. The Queen can use either AP or HE, both do decent damage and are viable choices. Warspite just has such good AP.

Are you fucking kidding me?  Note - this was a Co-Op Battle. That was a friendly bot that sailed into an 8km torpedo from around an island about 40 seconds after it was launched, by ramming the hulk it was aimed for. |
