Wheres the Baker Rifle and the Brown Bess?? Those are flintlocks, with the Brown Bess having many incremental improvements over the years it was used. While I enjoy all muzzleloaders ( except those bastard inlines) my main interest has always been in the pre flintlock era of firearms. I hope to eventually own at least one handgonne, matchlock and wheelock as even reproductions of these guns are not seen, in least my area at least. There are a lot of shooters that have no knowledge of early firearms history, I always try and post a few vids to show those who may have an intrest. |

I've got nothing that old  , but I do have some "older" firearms...Winchester Model 1886 .45-.70 built in 1893, Smith & Wesson Model 1917 .45AR built in 1917, Winchester Model 1912 12ga built in 1915m Remington Model 29 12ga built in 1931, Springfield 1903 .30-.06 built in 1925 and sporterized in 1950, Lee-Enfield build in 1953 and a Winchester Model 70 .30-.06 built in 1948. |

I've got nothing that old , but I do have some "older" firearms...Winchester Model 1886 .45-.70 built in 1893, Smith & Wesson Model 1917 .45AR built in 1917, Winchester Model 1912 12ga built in 1915m Remington Model 29 12ga built in 1931, Springfield 1903 .30-.06 built in 1925 and sporterized in 1950, Lee-Enfield build in 1953 and a Winchester Model 70 .30-.06 built in 1948. Always wanted a Sharp's rifle, but my intrest lie mainly with older front stuffers. I have fun with modern guns, but there is something about those old muzzleloaders. |

The barrel looked like a baseball bat. Also, please post a picture of the Model 70 so I can get angry jealous? |

I do have a Ruger Model 1 in .375H&H that has a thicker barrel. I'll grab a photo of it tomorrow and post it. The Winchester is a "well used" rifle, but it adds to the character. My son has gotten half a dozen deer with it so it holds extra sentimental value to me. |

Just in case you find yourself face to face with a cape buffalo Yeah but with it only being a single shot you better make it a good one! Not sure where my father got it, but I only remember him ever shooting it at the range. I inherited it when he passed. |
