@rest, I have a few (5min) clips of games that ive either done well in, with the grille or carried. I think you should have a look at them to judge for yourself and get a feel for the playstyle it has. Its most efficient way ive found to play the grille 15cm.
I will post the clips here if anyone is interested in seeing them also. And dont worry, I am aware my map spam (Big map is an issue) Ive cut down on it ALOT from what it used to be. So watching gameplay thats clearer shouldnt be an issue.
Also! If I may add since it helped me dearly with the grille 15cm. Swindle321's youtube has 2 gameplay clips o the grille 15, One where he smashes people and the other like a sort of review if you could call it that. He does explain how he plays the tank himself. It works for him and in some instances has helped me move my average from 2.8k to what it is currently.
Its not an easy tank. It has the best accuracy and has mobility etc but its nothing compared to what you would do in a 268 or E3. However with using alot of what you have learned from randoms, Positioning and whatever, This tank really does pay off well once you get the hang of it. A few days ago I was doing shit in it and struggled to keep a 2.5k-3k average in it. Last night I played on NA East with a different approach and man handled teams with it. at 15 games sitting at 5.6k average damage.

So far with the Grille, I had split opinions on it, Mostly raging from the gun at distance which can prove to be troll here and there, Im closing in on my 3rd Mark now and averaging around 4.5k damage per game, 3.63k overall at 150+ games. The thing with this tank or so to speak the way Ive been playin it sort of like a support medium, The best skill for it is to analyse the enemy team, If you get a map like mines and theres 3 BC-25t's on Opfor Dont rush the hill but instead try get to a position where you can put a deadly shot in at the start, This will piss said players off and they will play passive. If not and the enenmy has all heavies and TD's you can play the grille like a medium, I split my gameplay between the lines of a Supporting medium/Tank destroyer because the gun is really good at peekabooing if you concentrate the reticule. Its not like any other TD ive played for sure, You cant use the same positions as what you would in a 183 268 or even E3/E4. I find, its a tank that performs at its peak in late game stages. Ive carried a few because the gun late game is where people make mistakes and because the gun accuracy and shell velocity is soo good. Catching an E5 out can decide between win or loss. Essentially, Its like a medium but just remember you have no camo rating and it suffers a similar fate to the JP II.. Not a good reverse speed.. Soo dont get too cocky with it. Conserve your HP and if you can try bait enemy into positions you know you can smash them in or use team mates as bait. My equipment on the grille is Binocs, Optics and gun rammer. The reason Ive doubled up on view range is because it works. The max distance with optics alone is crap so doubling up on them has allowed me to shoot players on distances of up to 700m away which is fucking epic. I dont use Chocolate on this tank anymore, just a waste of credits, The gun wont perform better when sniping people, The dispersion of the reticule will still let you down here and there and the reload is already pretty decent - 13.6 sec reload. I dont use camo net, Its useless. I have tried double bushing (Im aware it dont work on console) with camo net activated and still get spotted. JesterUSMC pointed out he uses a medium spall liner, I dont use spall liners personally because I have personally seen no use from them, If someone fires HE at you.. They will probably pen regardless and for ramming? Well.. Its a waffle 4 with a 15cm. If you're on your way to 3 marks on the thing, this is probably moot but, you understand that bonus and optics don't stack, right? And as far as kemping bush with a net (or camping anywhere with or without a net), you probably weren't covered by the bush. It's so tall and the barrel goes on forever. It can't hide in most bushes or behind most rocks.

It's pretty good you just gotta play pro sniper or peek-a-boo tactics, it's not a brawler and it is sad it came in as the pc nerved version but I'm not complaining I really like it.
