I do as I'm still a newish player and the old place is a great resource for info. It has thousands of threads. That being said I really like the atmosphere here and I already prefer this place from that kind of standpoint. It's a better community here. Give it a little time and this forum will have every bit of information that the other one has. There are new guides being posted almost daily. Its only been about 2 days and already we have some great guides. Not copy/paste from the other forum. Brand new guides. You'll see. This forum will be great No doubt about that! |

I don't know if I'm just noticing it more because I'm kind of spoiled from being here or what ... but the live forums seems to be pretty much a shit show now.
I think I opened like 3 threads on the front page because the rest of them had ambiguous click-bait titles and I just couldn't be assed to care what was inside.
I have still have reasons to go there, but I'll be a whole lot more conservative about what I read and probably won't bother posting much.

Oh yes, this morning in General Discussion, there were, among others, a thread about how Hitler didn't die, a thread telling someone (I couldn't tell whom) to "go dack to. school", and a thread by a chap rather charmingly named "Black Dominance" (you can guess how that ended up). And now someone has seen the light and made a thread saying WG should do weekly developer updates or something like that, and of course the first on scene was WG's personal damage control party, SovietDeath the twat.

Right, then we never hear anything back. I like how when someone brought up the su100y and panther 88 and they immediately hit the script. Until someone said, but they aren't rare tanks and should be on the tech tree, the backpeddal was amazing and PAIN showed up to take responsibility. It was telling to me though, they may read what is written but don't actually comprehend it, or pay attention, it's more of a flow chart that always ends with "We'll pass it along." or "Soon". It just seems cheap. |

The thing with that Panther 88 and the 100Y was that in their respective releases, they said something along the lines of "these tanks will make their way to the tech tree at some point in the future", but when someone actually asked when it would be, the admins said they were rare tanks and wouldn't be in the tech tree. It shows that they don't actually have anyone in the know about the game on the forum. And it says even more when a player knows more than an employee, especially when that knowledge was garnered from the news articles.

To be fair most of the players who made the guides on the offical are on here now, you could probably post a question and get an answer with mins. I do agree the atmosphere on here is much more relaxing and not in constant fear of the mods derping you. Unless violet gets bored, then be scared. |
