I drive a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with about 80k on it. Was the first new car I've ever bought. I've now had it roughly 1/3 of my life. Unfortunately, her time's about up. I'm either going to get a Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid, or wait for the next Tesla model to come out. Did you do any mods to your Wrangler? Always liked them. Some pretty basic stuff. This was my primary ride, so I wasn't doing any crazy offroad shit with her. I had Mopar tubular bumpers installed on the front and ack, as well as side steps. I had skid plates installed over the oil pan, muffler, and a few other spots (despite not using it for offroading). I had a Mopar cold air intake installed. The sound system was already fantastic as I bought it with a premium Infinity speaker pacakge, but I did by a Kenwood in-dash head unit with a retractable 8" screen that had Sirius/XM radio, HD radio, and navigation. I put neoprene seat covers on the day I picked it up. The original upholstery has never seen the light of day. The tubular bumpers and side rails really need to be replaced. They're severely corroded and just...eaten up. I've still got tons of places offering $10K+ in cash for it, and offering even more in trade-in value. Which...is nice.

Yeah right, I'm not surprised you're getting good offers for it really. Sounds like it's been pretty well then care and overall in good shape still.

I was surprised at the offers...until I saw what new Wranglers are going for. I really wanted to get a new Wrangler, but the prices start at nearly $30k and go up from there. I couldn't believe it. Mine was fully loaded and just over $20k when I bought it in '05.
I'm also considering getting the Jeep Gladiator, a prototype pick-up at the moment, when it finally comes out next year.

2001 Ram 2500 with the 5.7L. It's starting to rust really badly due to our Minnesota winters.

Couldn't resist this thread as just bought a car yesterday. Got a 06 plate Audi A3 and picking up BMW 520d series touring next week hopefully. That's on a 63 plate. And currently driving a 06 VW van with 242'000 miles on the clock. Germans build good vehicles. (V/IV I'm looking at you) I love blowing off new Beemers and Audis in my 13 year old car I like the % sereis F10/F11 or whatever it is they've been on recently though. Good pick bud. Your Vdub a transporter? Yeah it's the company workhorse. Needs a bit of tlc but still running.

When we go down to Devon and Cornwall as we have friends down there see loads of those campers. (Main reason getting the 5series for trips down that way).

Just sold my 2014 Ford Raptor Special Edition. Sad day, but we're putting the money into our daughters college account and paying off a credit card. Only had 8700~ miles on it and I got it at 12 on the odo.
Wife has a 2015 Ford Expedition EL that we got after trading in her 2014 Range Rover Sport HSE. Needed a roomier vehicle as our daughter grows. The RR was a pain in the ass towards the end and the sales people at the Austin Jag/RR/whatever were pricks.

I hear range rovers have alot of expenses after a couple years of ownership so thats probably a good call. Sorry to hear about you having to sell the raptor though.

It had a few minor recalls that required a few hours out of our day. Minor electrical issues that were the result of some software that was not updating properly. The biggest issue was when we took it in for one of the recalls, our driver's side door stopped latching. I could close it but it would not engage the latch which, I'm told, is important. We took it to them and it took a couple days to get it fixed. We got it back and it was OK for a couple days. Now, the door handles have a feature that unlocks the door when you touch the handle and the key fob is on your person. After a couple days that stopped working on the driver's side door. We got fed up with having to return to Austin (We live about 30-ish minutes away) for these bullshit fixes. We cleaned her up nice and good and traded her for the Expedition. Which is a fully loaded King Ranch model, I forgot to add. Awesome vehicle. We also were the victims of a leaving the scene collision at a movie theater. Some minor scrapes by the rear driver's side door/quarter panel cost about $1,600 to fix. Luckily, we only had to pay $250 out of pocket (We made sure to have very good coverage on it) I will not own another Range Rover vehicle, that much is certain. The upkeep on them is ridiculous. Plus the cost of fuel, which at that time was hovering near $3/gal for premium and insurance on a luxury vehicle. I know these may seem minor, but I had a bad feeling about where this may go so we decided to get rid of it. We also needed more room for our daughter and room for traveling around the state. The best thing about it was how fucking quick it was. I miss my Raptor a lot, but it was just sitting in the driveway for 2 years. I didn't play with it in the mud or offroad as much as I should've. Oh well. Expensive toy to keep around and doing nothing with.

That's all on hold right now for the little one's college fund. If she gets a full ride, I'm buying a truck and a bass boat. I better get her started on the Baby Einstein shit...
